Barring a last minute collapse, sources tell http://AggieYell.com Kentucky coach Mark Stoops is likely to be the next head coach at Texas A&M.
NCAA football 2023
Re: NCAA football 2023
Re: NCAA football 2023
That’s the right move for Stoops. He took Kentucky as far as you can take Kentucky in the modern era. It’s time to get paid paid.
Re: NCAA football 2023
Gators need to fire Billy Napier. This guy is a terrible football coach. This team played like garbage tonight and have no discipline whatsoever. Mistakes and stupid penalties. That’s all on the head coach.
Re: NCAA football 2023
I’ll be honest, I thought this was a home run hire. I’d give it another season, but early returns aren’t great at all.
Re: NCAA football 2023
Ouch Texas A&M

BREAKING: To quote Lee Corso ... Not so fast, my friend!
Mark Stoops is reportedly staying put:

Re: NCAA football 2023
Let’s see if ‘Billy’s Recruitments’ make their mark next year….
If the discipline issues continue, I’ll join the haters camp.
But he’s not been here long enough.
He just got here (lol)

Re: NCAA football 2023
Don't they have a monster QB recruit coming in? Kid last night looked like he could play too. I don't see how you can hang everything these kids do around the neck of the coach. There has to be some accountability from the players too.
Re: NCAA football 2023
Fun fact: Jamari Lyons, local high-school 'star', was the guy that got ejected for spitting.
Personally I viewed him as lazy and lacked the alpha gene.
Anyways, thanks for the great representation

Final 4 College playoff prediction
1.Michigan
2. Georgia
3.Oregon
4.Alabama/Texas

Re: NCAA football 2023
So you're saying FSU is going to lose to Louisville? Because unfortunately, even though I don't think they are anywhere near as good as a team like Ohio State or Texas right now and would hurt the strength of the Final 4, they are going to get in the playoff if they win next week. You're also saying Bama will beat Georgia and Georgia will only drop one spot? Hell no. If Georgia loses next week, they're out, just like Ohio State.
What I'm most interested in is where they rank FSU if they do make the playoff. Because if things stay the same and Georgia stays 1 and Michigan 2, Georgia should have the right as the top seed to choose who they want to play, and obviously, they're going to want to play FSU over anyone else.
Re: NCAA football 2023
In my opinion, if Georgia loses, they will still remain a stronger team than FSU (if they win over Louisville). That's part of the reason why Washington jumped over them. Didn't you see FSU vs Gators game?Navybuc wrote: ↑Sun Nov 26, 2023 12:16 pmSo you're saying FSU is going to lose to Louisville? Re: NCAA football 2023
The committee has already set precedent that conference titles carry significant merit, and an undefeated champ with 3 wins over ranked teams will get chosen over a 1-loss non-champ. Whether they deserve it or not, that’s how it’s gonna be. I don’t think FSU has a prayer in hell of beating Georgia or Michigan, but if they win next week, they will get in. And if Georgia loses, they are almost certainly out unless Michigan loses to Iowa.Phantom wrote: ↑Sun Nov 26, 2023 12:22 pmIn my opinion, if Georgia loses, they will still remain a stronger team than FSU (if they win over Louisville). Re: NCAA football 2023
I would bounce FSU regardless. They can’t beat any of the top teams. I think dropping them to 5th after a win said as much.

@Phantom you guys played good. Your lines were more solid than ours, your QB was better and your gameplan (gameday coaching) was better
Hope you guys bring a Natty back to the B1G

Re: NCAA football 2023
The college football playoff committee is a joke. Ohio State lost a one possession game on the road against a rival who is a top five ranked team.
…And their biggest failure was losing said game in the last week of the regular season?
We know they would eat Oregon and Washington’s lunch.
But ultimately they’ll be on the outside looking in.

Re: NCAA football 2023
Ohio State second biggest mistake was being in their particular division within their conference. Instead of being on the weak side with Iowa lol, where they would be in a Big Ten championship against Michigan, again

Re: NCAA football 2023
Washington is 9.5 dog vs. Oregon
FSU is only a 2.5 fav vs Louisville
I can't recall two undefeated teams this late that were considered as weak as these two (I realize FSU is a different team without their QB)

I don't think it's a joke. I wouldn't have OSU in the top 4 right now. I would have both Texas and Oregon ahead of them as one loss teams. Particularly if they both win next week.
This year's team isn't as good as last year's which snuck in at the end. They have two decent wins but weren't dominant in either. Their 3rd best win is over 7-5 Wisc (and even that was only 14 pts).
The only way I would put them in the playoffs at #4 is if Louisville beats FSU and OSU beats Texas.

Re: NCAA football 2023
I can't wait to see how McCarthy does against Iowa's defense. If he plays extremely well, Michigan will be good enough to beat Georgia.

Breaking: Arkansas Razorback Football is vetting hiring former head coach Bobby Petrino as the school's next offensive coordinator, sources told Pete Thamel.
Petrino has indicated in the recruiting space that he's in the mix for an SEC coordinator job.

McCarthy Is the first non Buckeye to win Big Ten QB of the year since 2015. Well deserved

A store near me has buckeye flavored gelato. Do I try it? What on God's green earth does a buckeye taste like? It's just a nut, right?

Hey, it was a guess. Never had one.
But what about actual buckeyes?
