Your Bucs Big Board

Post by Doctor »

Alrighty, it's that time. What's your Bucs big board look like? Make it as long as you need. Tier up 30 players if you're up for it.

If I were these boys, I'd be checking the cost of living in the city they are going to.

My Top 27:

1) Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Michigan
IDEAL ROLE: William Gholston's job. Some three point, some two point, a lot of rushing, the odd dropback.

2) Kyle Hamilton, S, Notre Dame
IDEAL ROLE: Doing whatever Todd Bowles wants.

3) Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE, Oregon
IDEAL ROLE: A pass-rushing chess piece, and eventually, taking over for Barrett.

4) Ikem Ekwonu, OL, North Carolina State
IDEAL ROLE: Whichever guard spot, immediately. Possible long-term option at Left Tackle.

5) Evan Neal, OL, Alabama
IDEAL ROLE: Same as Ekwonu. Although moving Wirfs to LT and Neal to RT would be interesting.

6) Derek Stingley, CB, LSU
IDEAL ROLE: Depth for now. Starting opposite CD24 once Dean and/or SMB leave.

7) Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati
IDEAL ROLE: Same as Stingley's.

8) Travon Walker, DL, Georgia
IDEAL ROLE: He can play up and down the front seven from snap to snap.

9) Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah
IDEAL ROLE: Heir to the throne of LVD. Also a great option if White prices himself out.

10) Jordan Davis, DL, Georgia
IDEAL ROLE: Suh's role.

11) Jermaine Johnson, EDGE, Florida State
IDEAL ROLE: Same as Thibodeaux.

12) Zion Johnson, G, Boston College
IDEAL ROLE: Either guard spot.

13) Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama
IDEAL ROLE: Healing up, for now. Later? The pure speed/explosiveness weapon we lack.

14) Kenyon Green, G, Texas A&M
IDEAL ROLE: Right Guard.

15) Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington
IDEAL ROLE: Same as the other corners.

16) Chris Olave, WR, Ohio State
IDEAL ROLE: Boundary Receiver, with Godwin/Gage working inside.

17) Kenny Pickett, QB, Pitt
IDEAL ROLE: QBOTF.

18) Tyler Linderbaum, C, Iowa
IDEAL ROLE: Interior depth this year. Starting center next year.

19) Devonte Wyatt, DL, Georgia
IDEAL ROLE: Nickel rusher.

20) Christian Watson, WR, North Dakota State
IDEAL ROLE: Playing go-ball with Brady down the field.

21) Andrew Booth Jr, CB, Clemson
IDEAL ROLE: Same as the other corners.

22) Drake London, WR, USC
IDEAL ROLE: Whatever we need him to do.

23) Travis Jones, DL, UConn
IDEAL ROLE: The Suh Spot.

24) Lewis Cine, S, Georgia
IDEAL ROLE: Whitehead's old job.

25) Nakobe Dean, LB, Georgia
IDEAL ROLE: Either ILB spot going forward.

26) Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State
IDEAL ROLE: Another slot weapon for the offense.

27) DeMarvin Leal, DL, Texas A&M
IDEAL ROLE: A much more gifted William Gholston.

The God Dammit So Much (WTF) scenario would be great. No doubt you're getting multiple trade offers if every single one of those QBs falls that far.

I just can't see it happening. Willis is too physically gifted. Pickett is the rare non-top five quarterback who can step in as a rookie and improve a team immediately. And Corral has some elite traits that some offenses really value, like an ability to make quick decisions and get rid of the ball quickly. At least 2 of them will go before we pick, I think.

I don’t disagree. The QBs always go whether they deserve to or not. Possibly 2 of them to divisional rivals, which could be good or bad depending on how you view the class.

Hate the part where we see the top talent disappear one by one, leading up to our *possible #27 selection*.
This is usually offset by the levity felt when the Jets and the Browns make their selections.
This year just feels forgettable.

Unless JL pulls …. a….. leverage the future move for this LAST TB Brady exploit. •snicker•

Nah…
Won’t happen.

Leading up to the draft everybody believes the hype, we would want all prospects in the first round. The dust settles and some time elapses. Then you look back on a couple drafts and there are piles of players you could care less if they ever got on our team.

Just sayin.

NGL, I'm probably less excited for this draft than I have been in some time.

But that's a damn good thing.

Anyway...really thinking we'll take a Guard round 1, and some combination of: DL, TE, and RB in the following rounds.

I think we should just donate our last two picks to a more needy team

I fell asleep last year. Probably will again this year.
