Out of all that silliness, the one that is probably the truest is that Young never would have developed here. My gosh, but those were some terrible years for any player to be a Buc.

Funny how you mention Alabama. It seems the Bucs had an obsession with Alabama players in the early 90's before they became relevant under Dungy.

1990- Bucs select Keith McCants. Could've had Junior Seau, Richmond Webb, or Emmit Smith

1993- Bucs select Eric Curry. Could've had Willie Roaf or Jerome Bettis

You can thank Culverhouse for that. As a former Bama alum he goes and hires Ray Perkins who then takes guys he was familiar with like McCants (I think he actually coached him) or could call about to his buddies at the University
