No to even KH, might have to trade AWJ to sign Earl Thomas!

What's everyone's take on Kaiir?
Re: With the 27th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select…
With Booker, Vea, Senat, Roches, Gholston, and even add Suh. I suspect QB's will still enjoy success and our coach will suck and the defensive backfield will be hopeful tacklers on long drives with Brady staring down on the bench.
Stick pony and others will try to make up for it by doing extra and that is when keeping everything in front will backfire.
I'll be pleasantly surprised if either of our two new DB's match what Whitehead did last year.
Anybody know if we had any sacks with a 3 man rush?
4 man rush?

Hill is versatile. Can play the slot. Even played outside some at Michigan.
Neal and Ryan are on one year deals. Edwards is in the last year of his deal. Safety is actually one of the bigger “needs” going forward.

Who is putting their hand in the dirt in 4-3 looks, JTS?

D'Anthony Bell, also - maybe can get him free - for a look anyways.mdb1958 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 23, 2022 10:36 amGrahamburn wrote: ↑Sat Apr 23, 2022 6:38 am Hill is versatile. Can play the slot. Even played outside some at Michigan.

Look fella, I do not dislike your safety. I dislike where you want him picked.

The more I think about it, the more I believe Wyatt will be the pick at 27, barring a trade.

We’re in pretty good position as we don’t have any glaring needs. Perhaps a swing tackle? Someone who could eventually replace Donovan Smith? Either that or a potential #1 CB even though we signed Davis.
I’m assuming Gronk and Suh come back but if not those spots could be needs. Otherwise I think we are in good shape heading into the draft.

For the 2nd offseason in a row the Bucs roster is ready for week 1 before the draft even arrives.real bucs fan wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 10:36 am We’re in pretty good position as we don’t have any glaring needs. We're getting spoiled.
We can move up for an impact player who we feel is sliding, move back to accumulate more picks since we'll need talented young players on cheap contracts once the post-Brady arrives and the financial restrictions that will come with it from all these voided years we've been doing.
I'll watch the draft as I always do, but I can't remember ever being less interested b/c it's just not impactful to the 2022 version of the Bucs.
Maybe we can get some teams 2023 1st rounder if they want to trade back into round 1 this Thursday?

Tight end and OLB are glaring needs imo.

Ya it’s such a change. I use to be such a draft nerd and would spend a stupid amount of time studying prospects, but last year and this year I’ve barely followed anything. Like you I’ll watch, but I’ll have the classic casual fan reaction of “who?” for pretty much every pick lolDread wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 11:22 amFor the 2nd offseason in a row the Bucs roster is ready for week 1 before the draft even arrives.real bucs fan wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 10:36 am We’re in pretty good position as we don’t have any glaring needs. Depends on whether you assume Gronk will be back, it's much less of a need with Gronk and Brate atop the depth chart there.
OLB has Shaq, JTS, and Nelson. But I'd be 100% ok with an OLB/EDGE in rd 1. Shaq isn't getting younger and will be 30 this yr IIRC.
Plus you can never have enough good pass rushers.
Re: With the 27th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select…
Guard is the most glaring need right now. There's a reason that we were able to bring back Stinnie so cheap, despite his youth and starting experience. He's a spot starter and a very good swing guard. And behind him, supposedly Hainsey has been working there, but he's a total unknown.
I think if Johnson or Green are sitting there at #27, it'll be a quick trip to the podium.

And that's before we remember that literally the only way to stop Tom Brady is pressure up the gut. If one of our guard spots is a liability, it can short-circuit everything.

Tough schedule, the explanation and agreement of how to beat Brady, it doesnt matter, we have no shot to even win our division.
All these first, second, and third year d-linemen are going to mow through us no matter what.

I'd trade down and out of the 1st round twice, pick Travis Jones, then look to maximize the rest of my draft.
We can alternate Jones and Vea on tackles for 3rd down and work on our blitz options.

Or 2 or 3 picks.
Being right doesnt mean there wasnt more ways to be right.

The Panthers pick William Dunkle 242nd and he turns out to be better than any guard we have.

If you want to consider it good news, we just may have a better draft than the Rams and Titans.

Licht trades up to the Texans #3 and picks Ikem Ekwonu.
What's the cost?

If you want people to humor you at least give context for why they would suddenly be trading into the top 3 for a position that isn’t a need.
It’s way too easy to just see this as your blog of random thoughts. So when you present a ridiculous hypothetical without a reason you can’t expect people to answer in good faith.

Yesterdays NFL Nation mock draft on ESPN gave us Lewis Cine, Safety from UGA. Safety wouldn’t be my first thought, but after thinking about it may make sense as Winfield is the only one under contract next year.
