Is the Bootz struggle to make a sim real - I think not. In fact it's so easy even Bibl could do it.

I picked the top player available. This sim is TRADE happy.
I agree. I gave it a shot and picked top players available based on positions of need. It is trade happy but a lot of the trades were ridiculous. I made one trade down in the third and picked up an extra fourth in the process. Here's my haul:

26. Laiatu Latu EDGE UCLA

57. Jackson Powers-Johnson OG Oregon

89. Johnny Wilson WR Florida State

130. Spencer Rattler QB South Carolina

163. Justin Eboigbe DT Alabama

202. Josh Proctor S Ohio State

243. Michael Barrett LB Michigan

254. M.J. Devonshire CB Pittsburgh

Got some immediate help with the pass rush as well as the interior offensive line. Also got a possible replacement should Mike Evans walk. Rattler can possibly develop into a stud QB if he gets it together. Fortified the defense/special teams in the later rounds with talent from Power 5 schools that is better than the position I took them in.

Spencer Rattler? I saw that guy on a documentary. Not mentally stable if it was accurate.

The powers to be are eliminating the chance for Jackson Powers-Johnson from us in the 2nd.

Tenn offered a 1st for our 2nd round pick so I ran with it.

No, the one I was talking about was when he was in college. He was actually more level headed in the one that showed him in HS. Perhaps he has matured. Perhaps it was not as bad as the show portrayed. Please not I stated "If it was accurate" in my original quote.

I do not. It was not on Netflix. It was a show about commuity college players that had been in D1 schools, went down to CC in an attempt to get back to D1 and the NFL. I don't think he was 'on' the show, but players discussed playing with him. It was the 2022 fall football season.

The sims are an interesting data point, but I feel they often grossly overrated or underrated certain dudes every year, with wild stuff like a consensus top ten pick making it to the third round consistently.

I prefer more in-depth mocks myself that talk about why a guy would fit this team and his pros and cons, instead of just a draft spot, height/weight, and position.

Out of a 250 some odd man draft I can come up with less than fifty that I'd want on my team. Right now most all of the sims machines are frustrating and not allowing you to get most of your picks. I can do that the day after the draft too.

The sims are realistic in the fact that teams are going to pick who you want. Right now I've been doing fanspeak without the upgrade that allows trades (it sucked with trades) and it has me where I don't even finish. That's six different boards and they all got me miserable.

My three round mock:

26 - Chop Robinson DE - Penn State
57 - Jonathon Brooks RB - Texas
89 - Jason McCormick G - South Dakota State
91 - Jarrian Jones CB - Florida State

Adds pass rush, CB depth, explosiveness on offense, and Licht's small school offensive lineman.

I know like 30 names in the first round, and little about them at best. So obviously I'm qualified to do a mock:

26.
Graham Barton OG, Duke

57.
Johnny Newton DT, Illinois

89.
D.J. James CB, Auburn

92.
Braelon Allen RB, Wisconsin

People I really trust on OL have raved about Barton and his positional flexibility. It was tough to pass on Kool-Aid there, but Barton feels more like a sure thing.

Second round was a bummer. There is a CB named TJ Tampa who is destined to be a Buc. Looks like he is a second round type pick, I'm locking into this dude for the real draft. In this scenario though he was taken one pick before. I already didn't know names at this point. But Newton was ranked 20 spots higher on this websites board than the next guy, and was a top 25 overall, so I just took him.

Needed a CB by round three, don't know this dude. Blurb seemed decent.

This RB seemed like a perfect thunder compliment to White Lightning.

I call this one the "fix our lines" mock:

57 - Jonah Elliss - DE - Utah
89 - Jason McCormick - G - South Dakota State
92 - Sedrick Van Pran - G - Georgia
