There was an article years ago detailing some of the great outfield throws. I remember that Vlad hit 109 mph on a throw. Some ridiculous arm power.

edit: I found it...Vlad hit 106.7. Dave Parker hit 109. https://tht.fangraphs.com/a-physics-com ... t-part-ii/

When was the last time you watched a Rays game.... Maybe I should stop the post right there.

Anyway, when was the last time you watched a Rays game and Arozarena did NOT get thrown out on the base paths? Come on. This last one was out by about 25 feet, and dude is still demanding a replay review.

When you pitch the way they are, you can keep up the pace.

The Rays are far behind but a hell of a lot closer than they were. They have to get healthy, which I say the say day Ramirez broke his thumb.

I don't wish injury on anyone, but the Yankees are bound to run into it. And run into it right around playoff time.

We wouldn't be 13 back if we weren't missing like half our lineup. We got a break today but too bad it was Ramirez getting hurt.

BTW- Here to eat shit on Paredes. I was skeptical and he's come through very nicely

Rays beat KC first game back, but that’s not why I’m here.

If I told you that TOR scores a lot last night, how many runs are you gonna guess? Okay, now double that number (at least).

Last year, the Bucs would have gone 14-3 with that.

"Baseball is fun" Brett Phillips DFA'd the day after his (awesome as hell) themed giveaway. For a KK clone. Oh, we got a reliever as well.

Is anyone watching this Rays game? We are in the top of the 8th, and Detroit has literally thrown more balls than strikes. They've walked 12 guys. 12! And the Rays are losing.

Yes. Thank God they found a way to win that one. It would have been embarrassing.

I don't understand how one team can make so many baserunning outs. It's essentially an expectation now.

The Angels are embarrassing themselves with one throwing error after another. They've given the Rays like 5 outs and it's 5-0. Sell the team, blow up the front office and coaching staff, trade Trout and Ohtani to teams that won't waste them and build yourself an actual contender that way. They're the stupid rich kid who desperately wants to be popular and thinks "Hey look at my new car" will somehow win approval and either no one pays attention or tells him to get lost

Start it over from the top. No one deserves to sit through this

Joe Maddon was obviously the problem.

Joe deserves/deserved better than Arte Moreno. I wish him nothing but the best going forward. He's a goofy bastard for sure but you can't deny his resume whether or not you think his teams won in spite of him.

Down to 6 games back. As you stated, the Yanks couldn't keep this shit up. But the Rays have been the best team in the AL since the break arguably. They have 6 games left against the Yanks, including 3 starting tomorrow. Winning the ALE won't be easy but it's a possibility now when it wasn't just a month and a half ago. We can really chip away this weekend with a sweep.

We have the toughest remaining schedule in MLB and we're only, what, 3 games clear of a WC spot. Butt hold puckering time if this series against NYY doesn't go our way.

If you order a Cuban at the restaurant in my office building, they will ask you if you want mustard and pickles. Who the hell orders a Cuban WITHOUT mustard and pickles?
