This upcoming game in Denver is the type of game the JETS never win. Much of the fan base are losing their minds with unrealistic expectations and the fall back to Planet Earth is going to be harsh for some of the more disillusioned of us. Is a win possible? Sure, they are playing well and Denver isn't. But is a win likely? Hell, no, it's still the JETS. I choose to wait, and watch!

Maybe "pre-Brady" I could agree SR.... But after watching him destroy us for 20 straight years with the Patriots, I was so eternally grateful he no longer haunts us twice a year. As long as you have him, you have SB credibility, even now.

I was thinking historically.... The past few years have been a welcome respite

As I wrote in the other thread, wonderful man, very good defensive coordinator, lousy head coach.

Extra big ones. Sometimes a "win" feels like a "loss". He was on his way for "offensive rookie of the year". Now, see ya August 2023. Damn!

So, the NYJ having their best start in 10 years lose the certain offensive rookie of the year and best offensive lineman in the same quarter for the season. Life is not good .. ever.

Defense played very well except for a stupid ass roughing the QB penalty and lousy open field tackling. Certainly played well enough to win. On the offensive side of the ball, it was embarrassingly bad, save a couple decent throws from our over-matched 2nd year QB. Offensive coordinator is not the right guy and no idea if our HC wants to admit it. And thanks to injuries, the NYJ have the worst offensive line in the NFL. And with the Bills coming up next, it will be a mercy killing, hitting their BYE week most likely at 5-4. Another promising season, down the ol tubes.

I like this young Jets team, fun group to watch play. Unfortunate injuries along the Oline this year along with that rookie RB, but the best is ahead of this team for sure.

Really good foundational pieces in place and really good GM and HC to keep building. Not to mention plenty of resources.

Always my friend. But the Bucs will be just fine as long as #12 is healthy.

This JETS team is an enigma. One week they look elite, other weeks they look inept. They really are some where in the middle of those to poles. I said this on Facebook, the JETS are going to be heard from next year and beyond. This is exactly the year they needed. To gain credibility and belief in each other and the coaches. They are growing together. Defensively, they rush four fresh defensive linemen by constantly rotating personnel, keeping everyone at a high level (the rotation involves 10 players). The linebackers almost always play zone, with two deep safeties (the Tampa "2" designed by Monte Kiffen) and lock up the two top receivers with their cornerbacks in passing situations. They are so young, they fly around like maniacs.

Offensively, they are growing as the QB grows. He's really just a kid learning on the job, trying to do way too many things. The coaches want him to manage the game and together they are starting to put it together. This offense maturing is the key to the JETS having any long term success. I'll say this much, they're a "fun" watch. They can piss you off one minute, and make you ecstatic the next. I'm going to enjoy football in December. Haven't been able to type that in over 10 years.
