Uh, what?

KC doesn't win the SB in 2022 without running the ball. In the 1st half of that game, they ran the ball 5 times, scored just once offensively in 4 drives.

In the 2nd half, they ran the ball something like 20 times, and scored on every drive, 3 TDs and a FG to win the game.

And last year in the SB, almost the same deal. The Chiefs' passing offense wasn't very efficient, but the running game in the 2nd half was key to the Chiefs winning again.

And this season, the best teams in the league all run the ball well. The teams that don't are all at the bottom of the league.
And who was/were the RBs on that team?
That’s the point I’m making; you don’t need an elite rb to win. When was the last time an all pro rb won a SB?

Depends what you mean by 'all pro rb'. One that's been an all pro rb at some point in their career or in the same year. Same year would be Marshall Faulk in '99 I believe. At any point would be Shady McCoy.

@BJJ34 If there's an overrated team it's the Chargers.

You look at their schedule and you see their best victory is against the Broncos. Ironically you asked if all of our losses were against current playoff teams. This is true for the Chargers(Chiefs, Steelers, Cardinals, Ravens if the game continues this way)

I’d like to think they beat the Falcons then lose to us.

Game was 30-16(46 points) before this last drive. Refs went on a laundry run with all of these flags to help the Chargers out. Now 30-23(53 points) What was the O/U? 51.5.

Vegas, I see you.

Justin Herbert has 13 TD passes in 11 games.

By comparison, Tua has 13 TD passes in 6.5 games.

I did notice when I was hyping up their defense that they have played a slew of bad QB's/offenses.

Vegas. Tennessee. New Orleans. Carolina. Arizona. Deshaun Watson led Cleveland. Justin Fields led Pittsburgh.

The 1st real offense they faced was the Bengals and they lit them up for 450+ yards and 27 points.

I'm looking ahead but I think we can light them up as well. Especially in the run game.

College players seem to be not ready because of changing football to scoring 50 points a piece in the fourth quarter.

Superbowl.

But in all reality, he'll be making pennies (relatively speaking) and he has a ton of experience in the NFL. Pretty much every single team should take that on their roster as a backup qb for a quarter mil or whatever it'd be for 7(ish) games this season.

The Chargers entire WR crew was awful. Drops, turning the wrong way, I don't think they came away with any contested catch.

I read somewhere (I know, we hate that "somewhere" guy) that he would sign for next to nothing and when he leaves at seasons end, that team will pick up a comp pick.

Wonder if we considered signing to practice squad as well if for no other reason get an extra pick?

He'd have to sign for a significant contract with guaranteed money and the team that let him walk wouldn't get anything if they sign a FA to a significant deal.

That, and DJ would have to be on the active roster, promoted from the PS which is what he signed to. I'm guessing MIN is smart enough to know this and elevates him for week 18.

Daniel Jones is awful. I never thought he was a starting QB in the NFL. I feel like KOC brought him in as some kind of pet project. Like buying a beater for $100 to see if you can get it back to running shape.

Do the Giants even know who's starting at QB today?

Miami has a chance today. Tua does great things for them and that defense has quietly had a pretty good year.

That’s a preference and “what’s best for the Bucs” thought. Money would be on Lions, Boys, and Pack.

Goff has to get some consideration for MVP? Right? The general of the high powered offense usually gets some consideration. They’re clearly the best team in the league.

They're the #1 offense in football. He's 2nd in passer rating, though he's not very efficient(4th most INTs) But he definitely deserves some consideration.

I don't think he has a good chance to win though when you consider what guys like Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen do for their offenses.
