Worried about the injury. Thought Franklin would have been better but hope it works out.

Well time to try and convince any worthy priority free agents to come and try to make our team.

Re: The Official 2024 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
I would have doubled up IOL and taken Beebe instead of Braswell.
Smith is a NB through and through and Bowles would probably be well in on him as I think Bowles son either was being recruited by Kirby or committed to UGA. NFL Network said he's a day 1 starting NB.
McMillan I though a good choice.
Re: The Official 2024 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
KC has 7 RB's we may still get that rugby player.
Re: The Official 2024 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
I’m a little disappointed The Bucs passed twice on the guy from St. Petersburg whose last name is Tampa.
Hopefully he’s a bust if we don’t take him. If he was good, I’d feel like the Steelers watching Dan Marino break passing records.

That’s 18 names. We pick 25th in the round. Good enough chance one of these guys, and others completely off our radar, will be available.mdb1958 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 9:49 amGrahamburn wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2024 6:42 am

Feel like we took McMillan too early. Franklin, Baker, Washington, and Walker still on the board as well.
Estime or Allen at RB in rounds 6-7?

Re: The Official 2024 NFL Draft Discussion Thread
We have three picks left in the draft, assuming no trade shenanigans. I would prefer if we targeted a middle linebacker and running back with two of those three selections, the other pick going BPA. That would be a pretty good draft in addition to the guys we already added.
It's wild to me that Cedric Gray and Jeremiah Trotter Jr are both still available at the top of the fourth round. I thought both were second round talents. Either one could be a starting middle linebacker for us, if not this year then next. If they drop to us in the fourth round, we would be mental if we didn't take one of them. I mocked Nathaniel Watson to us in my big writeup and I could also see that happening later, and I have a soft spot for Michael Barrett as a late rounder.
As far as running backs are concerned, there's still plenty of meat on that bone. Jaylen Wright, Ray Davis, Braelon Allen, Isaac Geurendo, Bucky Irving, Audric Estime, Will Shipley, the list goes on, and unless there's a huge run on the position we could get a reliable back in the next two rounds. Even if we waited until later in the draft to target a guy like Cody Schrader or Jase McClennan or Daijun Edwards, we could easily get one of those three or someone very similar who could contribute a few hundred snaps as rookies on both offense and special teams with upside for more.
