Aaron Donald: Retired
Aaron Donald: Retired
The best defensive player of this modern era and arguably the most dominant DL player ever. It was great seeing him wreck havoc for 10 years. See you in Canton in 2029.
Most hated man in America.

Re: Aaron Donald: Retired
Might have decided to retire while he can still enjoy retirement. With all the players ending up with CRT, it is a smart move.
Re: Aaron Donald: Retired
He was pretty good.
Re: Aaron Donald: Retired
Yep. He's made a ton of money, over $150mil in 10 seasons. He's been to 2 Superbowls and won a ring. Got to be a dominant force and make an impact on the game. And did so all with the same franchise. He gets to go out on his own terms and enjoy life.GreatTimes wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 12:18 pm Might have decided to retire while he can still enjoy retirement. Greatest to ever do it.
Miss me with that LT shit.

Re: Aaron Donald: Retired
Cause he was the one who was unseated. Despite the naysayers.
Re: Aaron Donald: Retired
See you in Canton in 5 years my dude.
What a beast.
What a beast.
Re: Aaron Donald: Retired
Can't remember who it was but feels like it was just yesterday when there was a poster on here completely hyping up Donald in the draft
Re: Aaron Donald: Retired
Ten years ago, which forum was that?
Re: Aaron Donald: Retired

Re: Aaron Donald: Retired
Aaron Donald imo is the best dt ever. However, imho (and based on stats), JJ Watt is the best defensive player/Dlineman of the modern era. Watt in 2012, 2013,2014 & 2015 was just an insane 4 year span of dlineman dominance. Not taking anything away from Donald, but prime Watt is better than prine Donald. Prove me wrong!
Now one thing Donald had over Watt was that he was healthier.

That's become a thing with star players suddenly. Retiring with gas left in the tank. I agree with the consensus. He can enjoy the fruits of his labor without living his middle aged days in extreme pain.GreatTimes wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 12:18 pm Might have decided to retire while he can still enjoy retirement. And I'm sure he'll make more money from endorsements and just being around the game in some other capacity.
Re: Aaron Donald: Retired
IIRC he wants to get into media. That won't be hard to do in LA, where he's a star.BuccaNOLEer wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 2:21 pmThat's become a thing with star players suddenly. And even if he doesn't he made over $150mil from NFL contracts alone. That doesn't count the endorsements he's had.

Re: Aaron Donald: Retired
The Hogs were the dominant OL of LTs era and they'd be the smallest OL in the modern NFL.
As a human, putting his hands on other very large, very good humans. Moving them out of the way to end a play. AD the best to ever do it. Double team, triple team, guy did it all.
JJ Watt what great, but he was peak during his rookie deal years. And while those years were elite, absolutely, there are 20 sack guys. Heck, AD was a 20 sack guy! From the DT position!
10 years. No skips.

Hell of a career, there were rumors after their Super Bowl win he may have retired then. Dude was a a little dirty, but no denying his greatness. See ya in 5 years!

There are some guys that should get the waiting limited for Hall entry waived. AD is one. It's hard for me to say a DT was better than Sapp but the evidence can't be denied and even Sapp himself would say it
