Their season is over - bowed out in the first round of the playoffs - but thank you for asking anyway. They did better than I anticipated, especially with Dabo's stubborn refusal to use the portal. No free agents whatsoever; with a school that size, it's killing the program. Anyway, I was expecting something barely above .500, but they backed their way into a conference championship opportunity, won it, and ended up in the playoffs. All in all, I was happy. And again, thank you so much for asking. It's nice to chat with a fellow fan.

Should be two really good semis.

Texas is such an anomaly because they have the talent to go toe to toe with Ohio State but just seem to sleepwalk through a lot of games. That’s why it’s so hard to pick because I think if Texas actually shows up and has the home crowd behind them, they can beat OSU. I just don’t know if they will.

I think Penn State has an advantage over ND in that they got two extra days of rest and had the less brutal quarterfinal contest. ND also got banged up physically tonight. Last time Notre Dame beat an SEC team they lost to NIU the following week. The concern for Penn State is whether they can move the ball through the air on that ND pass rush and defense. Going to be tough.

Ohio State should win that game if Texas plays like they did against Arizona State, I agree.

I think both Notre Dame and Penn State (whoever wins) will be rooting for Texas. I don’t think either ND or PSU can beat OSU but they can beat Texas. Texas playing OSU in the Cotton Bowl should no doubt be an advantage.

I may be BIASED, but there is a good bit of NFL talent on the Penn State sidelines too. As I’ve stated, the Penn State defense can keep up with anyone other than maybe Oregon’s run and gun attack.

Notre Dame / Penn State is literally going to create so much diversion in so many PA households. There isn’t a secondary fanbase bigger than Notre Dame in this area.

I always liked the Penn State blue vs the ND white from back in the day. The ND blue vs PSU white brings up bad memories of 1990. One of the worst games I’ll ever remember as an ND fan growing up. Right behind the ‘93 Boston College game.

We've worn Blue in both games leading up to the championship game. maybe they thought wearing White was a way to dominate the TV audience.

Blue jerseys are a little more iconic. "Black shoes, basic blues, no names, all game. WE ARE!" the quote lives on.
