Shanahan is ass. The self-inflicted penalties. The horrible special teams play. Insisting on having a mediocre quarterback.

I guess 49ers need to keep settling for being really good, but not championship good.

So, we know next year’s script already. The pursuit of the ever elusive 3-peat.

What a neat little fairytale ending for the NFL, right?

First year Brady retires and the Chiefs break the back to back drought.

We get the Kelce Taylor Swift romantic comedy ending.

Isn't it just crazy when things work out so magically???

So was KCs and they kept making the stop when they needed to. SF didn’t.
Neither defense was gassed. One just got outplayed.

They'll get it too. The league isn't going to let the Chiefs and Mahomes completely supplanting Brady and the Patriots slip through their fingertips.

It's a sign of the times, sadly.

Now I see why SF wanted Brady. To Purdy’s credit, for a 7th rounder, he’s done a hell of a job. But to win a SB against Mahomes, you need better.

Didn’t San Francisco turn Brady down when he was leaving New England? Then they tried to circle back around when he was heading out of Tampa.

This conspiracy theory nonsense w/o any actual evidence is a fault of social media. You people find one another and jerk each other off w/o any push back.

Chiefs blitz Purdy he turns his head and throws the ball into the ground.

Niners blitz Mahomes he stands in the pocket and delivers a strike to his WR.

That was the difference going in that I honestly tried to deny. I had to convince myself Brock Purdy could outdoes Patrick Mahomes. You can't. It's not possible.

Yeah it was following their SB loss when they were still invested in Jimmy G. Then the draft after Brady won the SB, they drafted Trey Lance. They just can’t seem to get the qb position right.

Sounds like Shanahan can’t evaluate the position correctly

I think 47 year old Brady wins that game. Purdy didn't even play a bad game, but he had to be special tonight and he wasn't.

Tough call because if both teams trade FGs or TDs, SF then has the chance to win it. Plus they needed to rest the D…although they still got worked that last drive. Definitely more strategy involved with the new rules.

I get kicking it, but we all knew the Chiefs were going to score that TD. So, going for it and not making it would've had the same outcome. But at least going for it opens the opportunity to not lose on the next possession.

I'll drink at least ten Samuel Adams Octoberfest beers. Yes, Octoberfest in February. I bought an extra case in the fall and have been saving it for my party for the big game.
That's the only Sam Adams Seasonal beer I like, the other ones suck
Update. Had y'all taken the over, you would've won. I put away 12.

Except that it's not though. More apt would be Marv Levy, who actually got to 4 straight Superbowls and lost all 4.

As stated, Rivers got a ring. That can't be ignored or denied. Shanahan does not have one. The "most apt" comparison to a guy who consistently chokes in the playoffs and doesn't win a ring can't be a guy that has won a ring.

Win Shanny a ring and give me like 2 more of these debacle and he's Doc. But I digress. A guy who constantly chokes in the playoffs is exactly what I think of Doc

That's the hurdle Kyle has yet to cross. You dismiss it as if it's a random hodge podge fact. It's like the talking heads and such trying to compare Patrick Mahomes to any other young QB they try to put in his league.

I’m still in disbelief how they abandoned mccaffrey for three quarters of the game.

He couldn’t be stopped in the first quarter and he couldn’t be stopped in OT.

Absolutely ridiculous to put Q2-Q4 on Purdy
