Dolphins plan to release veteran LB Emmanuel Ogbah today, per source.

Miami signed Ogbah to a four-year, $65 million deal after he posted back-to-back nine-sack seasons in 2020 and 2021.
The Dolphins aren't done

Making room to get Tua % probably Waddle extended.

So, are the Bucs still doomed or not? I leave the cap stuff to you guys. :D
Depends on who the Bucs use that money to sign.

I don't what's worse... him being the best QB in Chicago or that he'd be the best QB here in Tampa?

It's hard to get excited about the news... I think Spotrac.com had this number pegged for a month. On their website, when the playoffs started, they projected $255.4M. I've mentioned it in a few posts that they were around $50M in cap space.

Spotrac currently has our cap space as $259,152,054 which makes sense as I read we rolled $3.8 million over from last year. $51.8 million isn't bad

Pretty sure multiple teams would be beating his door down.

Agreed. Any team in need of a wideout with the cash to afford him has probably already done their due diligence.

Of course they should. But this team is closer to rebuilding than they are competing with the Chiefs in that division. And they are currently $20mil over the cap with a lot of holes.

They are also reportedly going to be shopping Bosa, who's damaged goods at this point.

The cap can be manipulated for sure. The have enough pieces that I wouldn’t put them close to a rebuild, but they have a lot of work to do.

Moving on from Bosa and Mike Williams will apparently free up a ton of cap space for them. They also have some extensions/deals they can rework - Herbert, James, and Allen free up more.

I know we disagree on the Chargers outlook, but franchises turning the corner quickly isn’t too uncommon with the right pieces in place.

Side note: I hope they do turn it around and keep Mack, because it’s a damn shame his career has been mostly buried on bad teams. He’s a hell of a talent.

Will he stay or go? You decide.
Broncos coach Sean Payton said Tuesday a decision on quarterback Russell Wilson’s future with the team will come “within the next two weeks.’’ Payton, speaking at the NFL’s scouting combine, said he would go through the combine this week with the coaching and scouting staffs, and then the organization would have meetings that included owner/CEO Greg Penner early next week after everyone returned from Indianapolis. And a decision on Wilson’s future would then follow those meetings.
General manager George Paton told reporters the Broncos will meet with Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy on Tuesday night.
"Recent reports have claimed that Payton has already found himself "quite enamored" with McCarthy, and that wouldn't surprise anyone at this juncture.

How bad does Atlanta want Fields? Can the Bears get a No. 1 out of them? My guess is they swap first-round picks and give up a No. 2 and another later pick.

So Bears move up a spot? That makes some sense. I think there will be some conditional language in there where the future pick values increase based on Fields' statistics and whether or not the team that trades for him makes the playoffs.

Two spots...which could land them Odunze, Nabers, or Bowers. They could also pull a Houston Texans and use what they get from the Fields trade to move up into the top 3 or 4 to land Marvin Harrison Jr. They will have a lot of capital.

The NFL is turning into the take that money back league - the middle class is in trouble and it will be used as it had to be done - because it did have to be done.
