I fully expected a letdown today. This was an insignificant game for us. Man, they brought it. Impressive performance.

I know. I disagree.
You're implying the Bucs violated the CBA.
They did whether he was a healthy scratch or he was injured. So, that's not a defense

Since week 9 only Mike McCarthy has been as Todd as Todd Bowles on going for it on 4th down when they should.

Per PewterReport Podcast: AWJ PASSED the concussion protocol! They held him out due to not risking injury. Awesome news!

No? Me neither.
I don't do heart when it comes to these things.

These last two weeks of football were exactly the kind of football (process, details, energy, grit, efficiency, gameplanning, coaching, output) that wins in the playoffs. And we did it against two teams that were in must-win situations for playoff positioning.

If THIS team shows up. THIS team absolutely stands a chance against the NFCE runner up. I'm not putting money on them against the 49ers, but all the things happening on the field in the last 60 minutes of THIS team's lifespan? That wins playoff football.

Exactly this.

I’ve been a major supporter of screw baker, lose out, get Caleb all season. And for a while I was feeling right. But these last two weeks we have looked like a GOOD team and actually beat decent competition. If we play like this in the offseason we can beat anyone on the right day. I’ve totally had a change of heart, lets go bucs

I think it was right after the Jags went for it on 4th and goal and missed out

There are a lot of reasons to be happy about the progress of this team right now and I'm hopeful but next week will be a bigger test. Random thoughts:

The Jaguars were playing with a beat up QB who didn't practice all week.

I do think Baker has won over the locker room with his demeanor and grit.

White played like his hair was on fire.

I would have liked to see our run game do a lot better.

We have a great find at kicker.

Now let's put a beat down on the Saints.

People who don't actually watch football and only watch Superbowl for ads are the ones that may vote for him.

As I said earlier, we have the threat of a run game now which the Jags had to game plan for which I think helped our passing game.

It’s looking like a very good draft class. Kancey looks like everything a first round pick should be. Yaya looks great. Palmer is another WR gem. Mauch is starting on a young, improving Oline. Even Hall is finding his way to the QB lately, even if it’s only when everyone else is already there.

Licht is good at this stuff. To say nothing about how well he did in free agency with the moves he did/didn’t make.

Hey how do you post a tweet here?

My only fault with this stat is how is it decided when a team should go for it or not on 4th down?

Taking the cap hit now was exactly what most of us wanted to see happen…including @MJW. What we didn’t count on was that we could also become competitive. It’s been a crazy season to be sure. And now it’s become fun too!

I’ll admit…I’m really surprised by how well Baker’s done. I did not see this coming. I think a lot of it is the supporting cast around him, and Dave Canales deserves a ton of credit for fixing what was a mess midway through the year. Enjoy him while you can though because if he keeps improving this offense, a teams gonna want him as their HC. I would actually rather have him as HC than Bowles. I think Canales could be a rising star in the game. He revitalized Geno’s career and now he’s doing the same with Baker. Two qbs left for dead and he fixed them. He also brought Rachaad White back from dead too.
