Javon Baker and Brendan Rice could be day 2 picks too.

Crazy deep class.

Rome Odunze is a better athlete and a better prospect than Mike Evans of 2014 draft. His and Brian Thomas Jr numbers are sick.

IMO, Leggette is a AJ Brown clone. I think he'll go higher than expected, but I'd love to have him in Tampa.

I'd love to take a WR this draft but it seems we're set with Evans, Godwin, Gage and Palmer.

He’s going to be an amazing player. Think he’s a top 10 lock though.

As Bootz said, think we are pretty set at WR, maybe we go after someone in round 3 or 4 but think we have too many needs to address to take another WR with our top 3 set.

Go to PFF bigboard and check out WR targets vs receptions, I think Brian Thomas Jr was top dog by only not catching 19 passes.

Mitchell was 55 receptions 86 targets.

Scope them all.

If one of the following is available around mid 2nd round, I'd be okay if Bucs traded up to secure possibly a future #1 wide out. Adonai Mitchell, Xavier Legette and Devontez Walker. Absolutely love the combination of size, speed, physicality and catch radius with all of them.

Not in favor of trading up for a WR really. Jalen Coker is very good at contested catches in traffic and has a really good 1.52 ten yard split.

Godwin plays like he's on his last legs. Evans could be playing that way a couple years from now as well. Imo this draft might be the best opportunity for us to be set at that position for the next 4-5 years. It is rare to see people who project to be starting wr material that could be had even in later rounds.

I just managed to watch some highlights of Baker. This guy might be the closest thing to DeAndre Hopkins in this draft. Insane ability to catch almost anything thrown his way irrespective of where the defender is positioned. And you are telling me we can draft this guy with our 3rd round pick? Fuck you, how greedy are you?

Palmer may have the better 10 yard split for this 2024 WR draft.

This is a very deep class. We should come away with someone day 2 or 3, more likely day 3.

Both. I think we need to add a WR somewhere and I like Baker in that kind of later group of tiers. However someone wants to rank them.

When our IDL starts slinging o-linemen around like a Cape Horn Buffalo does a lion I'll be happy.

I also feel like this is the perfect time to start grooming the next wave of starters. I love Godwin, but it would be great to have our WR#2 on a rookie deal producing similar numbers and with potential to leapfrog Evans as the alpha in a couple of years. That is exactly what happened with Jefferson and Thielen.

The following are guys that offer WR#1 upside, who can start out as a solid WR#2.

Only including players that may realistically fall to us:

Brian Thomas Jr (1st round)
Adonai Mitchell (1st Rd)
Keon Coleman (1st-early 2)
Xavier Legette (late 2nd)
Jermaine Burton (3rd)
Devontez Walker (3rd?)
Javon Baker (3rd)

The other guys not on this list among top 15-20 may be great #3 that will elevate the offense instantly, but I simply don't see most of them except maybe Ricky Pearsall and Jaylynn Polk to be solid #2s.

Was Steve Smith lying when he said Jalen Coker was the best route runner in this draft?

Probably not.

Steve Smith was the first NFL guy I saw talking up Cooper Kupp, waaay before anyone else was. I take Smith's evaluations of receivers to heart.

I'm trying to find the review that says he has late hands. The way I take that is he doesnt let the corner know the ball is coming until the last second. I think that is a plus.
