Nope. Rams defense is as good as any in the NFL these days and an offense that is efficient.

The Bucs run D usually dominates against these WCO zone-blocking schemes that teams like Rams, Browns, Vikings, 49ers run so I don't think the Rams will be able to run the ball much (not exactly a hot take, I know).

But this offense is great at misdirection in the play action game and I expect a big game from Stafford. Jared Goff has 51 attempts for the Rams against last season and I don't expect Sean McVay to try to run the ball very much next Sunday.

Can we please pay attention to Cooper Kupp? Make some of the other receivers have big games.

I believe this is what will be the focus.. and if so, I expect LA to struggle putting up enough pts to hang.

The defense did a terrible job against the Rams receivers last year with Goff at QB and a healthy defense. Guys must step up Sunday.

Considering Woods raped us in the game last season I don't think your idea will work.

Defense was missing Vea for the Rams game last year, so not a healthy defense. JPP was limited in practice all week with his knee as well. Offense was also missing Marpet, which shifted Jenson to guard and Shipley played center. Shipley ended up getting injured just before the game-sealing interception which didn't help.

Defense definitely needs to step up, but saying they were healthy during the game last year is a real stretch when Vea's on injured reserve for the game.

I should've been clearer. I meant the secondary. You're right, Vea was on I.R.

But we did a pisspoor job covering and tackling the Rams receivers last year. Like Outsider said, Woods killed us. Kupp did as well. The secondary had everyone. This year, SMB is out, CD3 is dealing with a hammy, Dean got dinged, Cockrell sucks. We've got to be better.

...and last year SMB was dealing with a groin issue and CD3 was dealing with a quad issue. Secondary is still a big question, sure. But having Vea makes a difference in how much time the secondary has to work and in how the Rams o-line will have to protect Stafford up the middle. Last year they were able to concentrate on Barrett with Vea out and JPP slowed a bit by his knee. Even a half a second can make a world of difference.

Rams are very slight favorites in the game currently, Vegas essentially giving them the advantage due to home field. If the Bucs can keep Donald off the stat sheet like they did last year and Vea can push the pocket into Stafford's face then I like the Buc's chances for the 'upset'. One thing is certain, our offense is vastly improved from that week 11 game last year with Brady, Gronk and Brown being more comfortable in it.

I'm not sure how well that bodes for us this year then. Objectively speaking, this is not the best matchup for us on paper. We're still dealing with defense/secondary issues this year. People like Stafford more than Goff, so that would mean he's more dangerous right?

We will see. All I know is Kupp and Woods killed us last year. We didn't tackle well at all and didn't cover worth a damn.

CD3 isn't injured. BA said he was held out of a practice last week due to a tight hammy but its fine now.
So thats at least some good news.

So the questionable designation and CD3 going down early in the game yesterday were nothing? Yea, not buying what you're selling there, BA.

If we don't clean up the issues in coverage this game will be a shootout. One that we could reasonably lose
