Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Green Bay Packers Official Game Day Thread: Playoff Race Edition

Happy Game Day Bucs fans. And an important game day it is as we are officially in playoff hunt time. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers at 6-7 lead the NFC South and face the current #7 seeded Green Bay Packers, also 6-7.

The Bucs come into this game on a 2 game win streak, beating their NFC rivals Panthers & Falcons in consecutive weeks. This game is important for many reasons. The Bucs want to keep pace in their division, as the Falcons and Saints are also 6-7. Also the Bucs want to have an advantage in the wildcard race.

The Bucs have some injury woes on defense still but they do get back stars DT Vita Vea and LB Devin White.



Weather might be a factor today. It'll be 40 degrees around kickoff and throughout the game. Bucs traditionally haven't faired well in cold weather. But if this team hopes to make the playoffs they will need to bring their A game.

Let's hope for no (new injuries) an outstanding game and a big win to finally get to .500.

Every year the NFL schedules the Bucs and Dolphins to play at the same time, with both games being shown on the same network. The NFL dictates that the Miami game be shown in SWFL. I don't know any Fins fans in this area.

It was fun when it flashed but can't say the arc isn't disappointing. Was really hoping White would finally take that next step up to being that next level guy but for whatever reasons he just... didn't. Maybe he goes Aquib Talib something somewhere, and good for him if he does, still wish him all the best, but he's played himself out of a lot of money and worse still out of the good graces of a coaching staff that loved him and truly put him in a great position to be his all.

Let's be sure to bring LVD back, keep developing Dennis, and keep drafting well.
