Re: Week 14 Discussion
Eagles getting exposed.
Hot take: 2022 Hurts was a fluke. 2021 and 2023 are more indictive of who he is as a player.
He's looked and played like the worst QB on the field in consecutive weeks vs Purdy and now Dak.

An "exposed" Jalen Hurts is 10-3 and leads the league in total TDs...But okay.
Most hated man in America.

See? The chiefs not juggernaut anymore.
Re: Week 14 Discussion
He has thrown for 19 TDs and 10 Ints. That ranks him #12 as a passer. He adds 12 TDs as a rushed (not sure how many are Philly Tush Push) and 8 fumbles. So, total that is 31 TDs and 18 turnovers.
Purdy has thrown for 25 TDs and 7 ints. He adds 2 rushing TDs and 8 fumbles. So, that is 27 TDs and 15 turnovers.
Prescott has thrown for 28 TDs and 6 Ints. He adds 2 rushing TDs and 2 fumbles. So, that is 30 TDs and 8 turnovers.
Josh Allen has thrown for 25 TDs and 14 Ints. He adds 10 rushing TDs and 4 fumbles. So, that is 35 TDs and 18 turnovers.
----
So, technically Jalen doesn't lead the NFL in total TDs this season. Josh Allen does. I would say as a passer Jalen Hurts is not as good as several NFL QBs. However, as a player he is in the top five.

Easy to hate. Just look at the 2 closest people he keeps around him.BucsNBills wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 12:53 amYeah, Mahomes lost a ton of respect tonight. Even Chiefs fans were shitting on him for crying like a bitch and cringed at him doubling down during his presser.
I'm ahead of the curve when it comes to disliking Mahomes. An early adopter if you will.

Sorry Patrick. The Chiefs can't always be on the other side of bad officiating. How many times did other teams get fucked over while you smiled and watched this year alone? 2 at least? Be happy you even have a 8-5 record. It could very well be 6-7

I would put Jalen in top 5 as well in terms of impact and not as a passer alone. But this could easily be temporary and a a couple of years from now I can easily see Hurts be considered an average or above average starter. The league severely lacks good, sound, consistent QBing unlike the previous generation. Mahomes and Burrow are the only two QBs I would put in the caliber of the upper echelon we grew up with a decade and a half back. The rest of the good guys are just versions of Cam Newton, whose play can vary wildly like Cam's did.
Then you have Dak Prescott, CJ Stroud and Deshaun Watson. Prescott I think is a good QB, but he lacks legacy defining moments. Watson needs those massages it seems like to be what he once was, a transcendent QB. Stroud is on his way to become that.

We went into Atlanta and ripped the division lead from their cold dead hands.

I get that. Historically, QBs that relied on their legs to have game tend to have a very significant and severe drop off early in their career.Jonny wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 9:38 am13F11B wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 8:32 am

If we can beat GB we'll take the next chance... and the next, on and on, until we win... or the chances are spent.

Denver has no tie breakers against KC. Their conference record is 4-5 while the Chiefs is 6-2.

Imagine if I'd had told you week 3 then Broncos would be one game behind KC in December.

Yikes, no wonder Mahomes is cranky. Kelce is supposedly smashing Taylor Smith and Mahomes is coming home to the Annabelle doll and whatever that thing on the right is.Buc2 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 9:06 amEasy to hate. Re: Week 14 Discussion
As far as the Chiefs offsides call, it's really simple. Refs are supposed to, and do, warn offenses and defenses about how and where they line-up so they are in compliance.
If the offense had been warned prior to this penalty being called the Chiefs need to shut up and coach Toney to do better. If not, the refs SHOULD be held accountable but won't of course. But that flag shouldn't have been thrown.
Ask both parties if warnings were issued. Simple.

Re: Week 14 Discussion
A flag was thrown 11 times earlier this season on offenses for lining up on off sides. I don't think defensive players ever get this so called warning from refs, which is why we routinely see off sides penalties called on defense. It is unfair to expect refs warn offense, but call penalty on defense, especially when the latter has always been the norm. I respect the NFL for trying to make offensive off sides the norm as well and it isn't like this penalty was called the first or second time this year.Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 1:27 pm As far as the Chiefs offsides call, it's really simple. The Refs don't have to warn them of shit, it is the player's responsibility to line up correctly.
The Vets will always check with the line judge on every down if they are lined up correctly and they will get a nod as a courtesy. Doofus did not check with the line judge. Reid and Mahomes look like fucking idiots for crying over something that was an obvious penalty as stated in the rule book... you know what is not in the rule book? Getting a warning telling you that your player is a mental midget.

It has been a down year for QB play and so the average is looking above average.

Hope it’s warmer in GB Sunday
Per ‘Woeful’s press box’ website
* In their history, the Bucs are 0-13 in games played outdoors where the temperature was under 32 degrees. In fact, Tampa Bay is 21-64 (.247 winning percentage) all-time in regular season and playoff games where the temperature is under 50 degrees.
Unless you heard different…
We did lose in OT to GB 17-14 in 15 degree weather.
