In Philly, I'll take the Eagles. Although, I will hope for the Niners to win.

Odd that they flexed the objectively worse game into the later time slot and bumped down the more interesting game.

Now we have to wait until later to watch folks play bad football.

It's regional for CBS this week. That means each region only gets 1 game. During regional action there's a marquee 1pm matchup that most of the country will see. That's why they moved the Broncos/Texans game to that spot. The Bucs/Panthers game will only be seen in the home markets with a few others, a much smaller scope.

And who would have thought earlier in the season Houston v Denver would be the second most compelling game of any week??

Outside of SF v Philly none of these games seem great.

After looking at the above chart, and also looking at the chart showing percentage of passes with a clean pocket, I have to conclude that Baker Mayfield is not a good QB.

He has misfired on a lot of deep balls this year.

Truth. His poor deep ball allows the defense to play close to the line and not worry about getting beat deep. While his number look good, the overall impact on wins and losses is a net negative. Bowles likes his moxy though. Moxy is really important.

If this is right, the Niners/Eagles aren't blacked out in Charlotte. You know your team truly sucks ass when a competing game doesn't get blacked out in your home city when your hometown team is playing at the same time.

Wow talk about getting screwed. We don’t get SF and Philly while 99% of country does.

Damn…I was really hoping to avoid drinking this weekend, but that’s one damn good reason to hit the sports bar Sunday.

If we lose vs the Panthers, Bowles should be fired. Let Canales take over to see if he has HC chops.

I love this new narrative the board has adopted for this season. There's a new one every year. This year it's "I don't really think the next guy is much better, I just wanna see what he does because reasons...."

But that's not what they're saying. They're saying, this year is in the dumpster, may as well find out what we have in Trask with what's left of another lost season. Then take the results into the offseason and evaluate what the team needs to do at that position.

100%. Trask is under contract for 2024. Don’t we kind of want to know what he’s got in live fire situations?

1-6

21 sacks since the loss to Detroit

Needing bigger plays
The defenses knowing bigger plays are needed

Struggling to run a minimalistic offense is why I wouldnt mind seeing something different. Add up our total 1st quarter points

That is NOT the narrative. This is just you a) failing to understand or b) Making shit up so you can argue with people.

The reason people would like to see Trask start some games during the season is:

A) We do not really know how he will do when playing with starters against other starters. Don't give me your dipshit response about preseason. Don't bother posting preseason videos. They are pointless distractions that only idiots like you think have value.

B) Trask has one more contract year with the team. It would be nice to know if he can be 'the guy' or a 'bridge' to the 'the guy' vs. a wasted pick. Again, do not bother with your tripe responses we are not talking about what your feelings are or what your opinion is.

C) Many of us feel Trask is an inexperienced player with more raw talent upside than Mayfield. We acknowledge that he doesn't have the experience. We feel that he throws a better deep ball and doesn't get as many passes batted at the line. We acknowledge that the evidence for this is against non-starters and therefore would like to see this against starters and with starters.

I hope you have the patience to read. The integrity to take this as OUR thoughts and NOT contort what is being said to some strawman argument you want to have.

So, our corners are mostly just average with Dean being closer to elite.

Another thing that stands out to me is that the AFC has way more elite corners than the NFC does.

We could be 7-4, our issues are still the same with play like this. However it has gotten better.
3rd down D was league worst first 7 games, now 6th over the last 4.

Our young guys are coming along well, playing better, really developing.

If you look at where these corners stack up, you notice too that teammates are generally in the same area on the chart. Corner might be the ultimate iron sharpens iron position
