Cleaning house is the only answer. Can you imagine this without Mike Evans? They had the fucking gall not to pay him whatever he wanted.

Things are gonna get worse before they get better. I’m praying we’re not gonna have Toilet at HC or the alchy as GM in a few months.

This game is Bucs season exemplified. Bad coaching, bad QB play, bad defensive play, all in critical moments. No complimentary football of any sort.

Another one we’ll be glad for in April. But pretty disappointing.

Look at Josh Allen sack on Stroud when Texans are driving to tie or win the game. Can't believe we got Devin White clown over this dude.

Meh.

It was a show up game for Dennis. He had some good plays and he got plenty picked on in others. White can walk this offseason. A few critical drops on both sides of the ball. Some guys are really coming along and you love to see it, others less so. Don't get what the deal is with this Baker-Godwin connection only working half the time. That needs to get resolved.

Bowles once again sets up his QB and new OC with an opportunity for a walk-off win.
They once again come up short.
Trask whispers are about to get real loud.

Definitely Wirfs worst game. Gotta think the ankle is the issue, but who knows.

As for the Bucs, 4-7. Baker has his moments, but he’s not the long term solution. I’d really like to see Trask get the last month of the season and see what we have.

Expected this loss. It is what Bowles brings to the Buccaneers. A bad defense and a mediocre offense. As long as he is the head coach this team will be a 4 to 7 win team at best. It is time to move on.

Mike Evans has about half our offensive touchdowns, and he's staring down the barrel of yet another rebuild. It makes me sad to say it, but this may be his last season in Tampa.

This loss can’t be blamed on injuries or youth or any other bullshit anymore. This loss is squarely on Bowles. Stubbornness on defense and offense. The play calling on both sides represents and illustrates Bowles and his philosophy through and through. From Remember The Titans, “Attitude represents leadership, captain”. Our team and it’s attitude represents Bowles.

Promoting Bowles to HC was very low IQ. He doesn’t even coach the offense at all. He’s objectively bad at coaching defense when he’s overseeing the whole team. Which doesn’t even make sense, because he doesn’t even coach the offense. So he appears like he’s overwhelmed in a CEO role. He is best as a defensive coordinator.

If Arians “had to go”, you pay bowles two times as much money and make his pride accept the fact that he’s only a defensive coordinator.

Nope. Had to go with “continuity.” Which means absolutely nothing obviously. He stands on the sideline stonefaced. Smirking during bad times. No passion no emotion. And his players look exactly the same as him. What a fucking asshole.

Licht has missed on every coaching hire except for one.

He deserves to play for a team that shows up to play. Losing is part of life. But forfeiting is not.

Dude, this is borderline delusional.

Bowles setting up his QB and OC for a walk off win? We were down in the fourth. Again. And it wouldn't have been a walk off win, a TD and a PAT would made for a tie and sending the game into overtime. But we fell short. Again.

Nobody is setting anyone up for anything except the whole team for failure.

Standing on the sidelines with no expression, no emotion, is really doing a great job leading this team to wins. You’re totally right about that! Proof is in the pudding for his entire career, right?

No one is asking him to cry, just to show some miniscule measure of giving a fuck. Groups of people tend to take on the characteristics of their leaders, and Bowles is ostensibly the leader of this team. A team that has lost 6 of their last 7 games, mind you. And all he does is stand on the sidelines like a goddamn mannequin, and we are acting surprised when our team plays with mannequin-esque traits.

To quote a famous shitposter, I've seen enough.

You just need to accept the fact that this year is a waste of time outside of evaluating young players - getting tape on them - and getting Mike Evans closer to a Hall of Fame career. That’s all it is.

This team is going nowhere fast with Baker Mayfield at quarterback, and Todd Bowles at the helm.

Better draft picks better sets up the next regime. The more film they have of young players, the more data they will have to evaluate who is, and who isn’t part of the future.

That is all this season is.

Devin White is really good at running in a straight line and running into quarterbacks, who do not notice him running in a straight line. Assuming no offensive lineman are in his way while he runs in a straight line. That’s all he’s good at.

Bowles is coaching for his job and the jobs of his staff, and the front offices' jobs as well. He ain't gonna start liberally rotating guys in and scouring college tape, because if he does he'll be as good as gone.

3 years in, Tryon needs to understand Jonathan Taylor is stronger than he is and that is not a good look.

Absolutely right. Which is why you fire lame duck personnel, and people who are no longer incentivized to do things that are good for the organization. And I’m not even referring to the act of winning, I’m referring to setting up the next 5 to 7 years of a competitive cycle. The wins in 2023 don’t mean shit.

There was absolutely zero meat on the bone with Baker Mayfield. Signing Baker Mayfield was a fucking joke. Not playing Kyle Trask at this point is a fucking joke. If you’re in higher leadership, you make Jason tell you why Kyle Trask is not getting playing time because we know Baker Mayfield is average at the absolute best. Trask has been developed for multiple years. It makes no fucking sense.

We aren’t playing for 2023. Everyone in a position of power is fighting for their life when it literally doesn’t matter what happens in 2023. And if ownership doesn’t understand that, we have way bigger problems. And you better pray that somebody like Tom Brady miraculously shows up again. Because you’re fighting something that’s rotting for the head down at that point.

I have 5+ years of data that shows me that Baker Mayfield is a mediocre quarterback. I have 5+ years of data that shows me that Todd Bowles is a mediocre head coach. I have 10 years of data that shows me Jason Licht is generally bad at selecting head coaches.

What do you have?

Agree. There is absolutely no upside to not firing Bowles now. He's going to continue to coach safe, to save his hide instead of helping this franchise long term. Trask should be starting. Baker has proved himself to be backup worthy, slightly worse than Minshew, but a good backup nevertheless.

I also wondered if Wirfs is still injured. I wish they would sit him till he is healthy so as not to injure it worse. But Bowles is coaching for his job so that won't happen.
