Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
Funny, I don't remember Loss Out for Hurts campaign....
We could've had Hurts. But it would've meant passing on Wirfs or Winfield.

Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
I agree with you. Great value in a 2nd round pick. What round was Trask taken in again? How much playing time did Hurts need to reach his potential?
Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
The Panthers situation around Bryce Young is what everyone pretends Fields’s situation is. It’s really bad.
Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
He was too involved in the process. Going to dinners with Young, etc.
Not good.

Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
If the Bucs lose to the Panthers, Bowles deserves to be fired. Period.

Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
We've been saying this since the Falcons, and then Texans games. Nothing will change if it hasn't already. The Glazers are probably thinking that Bowles is the most suited man for Bucs to lose out rest of the year.

Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
And keeping Mayfield as the QB almost guarantees that the Bucs get a high draft choice.
Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
My thought this week is this. The only 2 10 win plus seasons that Matt Stafford had with Detroit was with Megatron. He had 2 9-7 without Megatron. I said when he went to the Rams he was an albatross. He had one of the top defenses in 2021 and won a super bowl based on that. Like us the Rams put their chips all in for a Super Bowl. I still feel Stafford is trash. His 7-11 record after that one SB season with his head coach.....Jim Schwartz may have had an albatross for a qb. I said this before the trade. I am now certain the over paying on defense is the only reason Stafford won a SB. If he gets into that HOF, that's 100% undeserved. Like Brad Johnson winning. My opinion
Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
You do understand how much of his success is due to the coaching, system, and surrounding talent, yes?
Give Jalen Hurts to Tampa and he's Josh Dobbs. Maybe.

Now do Houston.

Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
You know this from half a Canales season? Incredible.
Yet you seem really set on the new QB being the cure all here. Almost no talk of coaches. As if the new QB will rescue us no matter who is OC. Not surprising, this is the same crowd who swear by the "anyone but so and so would be better" mantra. Let me guess, that's in okay too right?
Anyone would be better than Canales.

@acmillis Who ya got tonight? Dobbs or Fields?

Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
So you're saying Minnesota is Philadelphia? Because "Minnesota" Dobbs is only 2 completion percentages less than this year's Hurts, 80 more yards per week, and a 4-1 TD to Int ratio. Kyler Murray would be straight up Mahommes on Minnesota

Currently 13-14 with 101 yards and leading his team in rushing tonight.

WTF offense is Chicago running? Every single pass has been at or behind the LOS.

Bears defense is playing very well. Nice open-field tackles. Interceptions.

Dobbs has thrown more picks than the Vikings have punts. More picks than they have points currently.Four Verticals wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2023 10:35 pmWith all the turnovers you'd think this game was being played in the rain.

Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
If the Bears end up losing this it will be due to the offense under Fields being inept.
Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
Wow, Justin Fields fumbles two drives in a row. The dude looked like he was in tears coming off the field. I feel bad for him. I think watching this game has changed my mind on him being better than Mayfield.
Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
Fields has done...Okay. I'm confused by this offense though. These short passes are overkill.

Kid looks like he’s about to cry. Brutal.
He’s super explosive.
Not sure what the horizontal passes are about….

Fumble at the wrong time. Dobbs at least threw his 4 picks early.
