Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
Happy Holidays. 4 days of football this week, including 4 in the between Thursday & Friday. A very good slate this weekend.

Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
Probably won't end this way, but that is looking fairly accurate. Shock team is the Texans. Most likely to slide out of the playoffs would be the Texans as well.
Completely amazing that some teams with so much dead cap space can be performing so well.
Eagles - $58,876,621
Texans - $45,924,729
Vikings - $44,945,531 (and Cousins is sidelined)

He should probably go back to Darius because Shaquille has been shit.

Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
I would say that the most likely upset with the wildcard round in NFC would be the Vikings. Saints winning, I just don't see. SF has stolen the Seahawks lunch money too many times recently to consider that a possibility.
AFC, I could see the Steelers pulling an upset. You can't count Tomlin out. Texans also. The Browns and Dolphins would be close, but I don't see them upsetting Miami

Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
Literally the only thing that happened was he started going by "Shaquille" instead of Darius during training camp in 2022. The injuries started piling up, which impacted his performance. He started losing playing time and was local about it recently.

It will be interesting to see how Devin White will fare without Lavonte. History tells us he has some of his worst and ghost like games when LVD isn't next to him.
Re-signing Devin White in the off season would be like Dominik and Raheem re-signing Michael Clayton in 08.
Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
We've already had much better and more accurate examples that mirror that re-signing. Their names are Jamel Dean & Carlton Davis.Jonny wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 1:56 pmIt will be interesting to see how Devin White will fare without Lavonte. There was a guy I played with in high school. He would ask me what to do on every single play 4 seconds presnap. I imagine that’s what it’s like for LVD/DW45 lolJonny wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 1:56 pmIt will be interesting to see how Devin White will fare without Lavonte. Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
It’s going to be a 49ers blowout. We’ll see.
Seahawks are listing QB Geno Smith as questionable and RB Kenneth Walker as doubtful for Thursday night’s game vs. the 49ers.

Quote is "if today were GameDay". I'm thinking Dean will be the only one to miss the game which is insane. Thought David was done for a few weeks.Jonny wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 1:56 pmIt will be interesting to see how Devin White will fare without Lavonte. Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
We should easily handle Indy with their backup QB. The problem is, Bowles makes this anything but easy.
Re: Week 12 Discussion: Thanksgiving Slate
Smith may play and Charbonnet is actually the best back on that team. So don’t go playing the Niners in Vegas just yet.

Couldn't disagree more. Record is fools gold. Only things that matter after actually making a SB are
1) making the playoffs
2) how you're playing in January

Lions enter today's game vs. the Packers with:
A 4-game win streak against Green Bay.
In sole possession of first place in their division for the first time on Thanksgiving in 30 years.
An 8-2 record for the first time since 1962.

This looks more like GB offense with A-Rod. Efficient, diverse, very hard to stop.

Go figures.
My biggest bet thus far this year goes on Lions and they’re gonna lose. The “No Friggin Logic” League is well intact.

I think my stance on hip drop tackles had changed. There really is no alternative solution. Especially when you have ball carriers trying to drag defenders for more yards. They are putting themselves at risk of injury.
