They're a timing offense, so disrupt the timing. Get hands on their dudes on the perimeter and challenge them physically. Run blitz like a motherfucker on early downs to knife into gaps so that CMC has to redirect in the backfield.

That was an odd choice. Maybe Bowles wanted us to keep the defense fresh? On paper that works, but look at what's happening on the field. Don't matter if they're fresh or not.

Pretty standard strategy when playing against a high powered offense. Run ball control offense and kill the clock, shorten the game so you limit the opportunities for the opposing offense.
