That doesn't surprise me 1 but. The tape don't lie. Thats been a guarantee for QBs this season.

I just wonder what the volume is. How many completions and big plays has he given up?
no clue.. only thing I know for sure he sure seems to be in the background of every big play/TD that occurs.

Every time.

What amazes me is he still has his job.

Those stats are worthy of Neal being named the MVP by the opposing offenses.

In all seriousness, over/under Will Levis throws 3 touchdowns passes. I’ll take under.

I get it, one of the issues we've had is players not trusting each other. And maybe you're leading by example or something by trusting that certain guys will finally get it, there is a good learning curve after all.

But there is such thing as giving too much rope and we are passed that point.

Panthers lose to the Bears and improve the Bears draft position.

So this Panthers team wasn't this bad last year under an interim HC and almost the same roster.

Wow, at least we can say we're not the Panthers. They're going to end up spending two #1 overall draft picks on a 7th grade student QB and has next to no talent elsewhere on the roster

The concern with Bryce Young is there isn’t improvement. Usually rookies struggle (well unless you’re CJ Stoud…who they could have had) but get better with time. But he seems to be getting worse. That was dreadful last night against a really bad Bears defense. And they lost their No 1 pick this year…so last years trade seems to not be looking too good for them right now.

I don't know if we can make a blanket statement like Bears defense being dreadful last night. It is all matchup driven. The way Panthers O-line and WRs played, Young had a mediocre rookie outing, not horrible imo.

I think Bryce Young is a very cerebral precision thrower of the ball that can succeed in this league, but he needs to be supported the way Tua has been in Miami. They are nearly the same player in many ways, with Young possessing better pocket feet and pocket presence imo. He has a shellshocked feel to his body language and I feel bad for the kid.

I would rather the Bucs draft a Josh Freemanesque physical specimen in next year draft than some cerebral frail midget. It takes a ton of mental toughness to elevate your gameplay when towering offensive and defensive linemen are closing in on you right after the snap within the pocket. I have to applaud Baker for exhibiting that type of grit from the time he was drafted.

I actually wrote off Young before he was drafted. I thought they were stupid picking him over Stroud. I obviously think that even more now. I just don’t see it with Young.

People like and are addicted to instant gratification. They don't have the patience for the process. As bad as Young looks now, Josh Allen looked worse his rookie year.

I liked Bryce Young's game in college, but just like Manziel he doesn't have the stature or speed to pull his collegiate shenanigans in the men's league.

I'm shocked there was an incompleted pass with him in coverage.

No doubt in my mind the receiver dropped a wide-open pass.

This wouldn't concern me as a Panthers fan. If we're in this same spot in 12 months, then yeah. It's just way too early for the doom and gloom for this kid. Especially with as downright terrible as his weapons are.

IMHO this is just becoming a major story because of Stroud. If Stroud was an average rookie, I think there'd be a lot more focus on Young's positives.

They'll always be tied to the hip because they went 1 & 2. Right now, Young is having struggles while Stroud is shining. Will it last? Time will tell.

What's impressed me about Stroud is he's taken what was supposedly his biggest weakness, handling pressure, and turned it into a strength. I believe @Cheb pointed out that he was #1 vs the blitz this season. Tape doesn't lie, he ate our blitz for lunch.

He also doesn't turn the ball over. 1 INT & 2 lost fumbles in 9 games. That's it. A lot if QBs have that in 3 hours of a game. He certainly has been very remarkable this season.
