Mike Evans Stat Tracker

Post by Kona »

Through 6 games he has 468 yards and 4 TDs. He’s currently on pace for 1,326 and 11 TDs.

To reach the 1k mark for his 10th year in a row he’ll need to average 49 yards a game the rest of the way.

Through his career to date he has 10,893 yards (40th all time, 2,886 from cracking top 15) and 85 TD’s (18th all time, 15 scores away from cracking top 10).

Personally, I think he’s a lock for the HOF (not 1st ballot) if he reaches the 10 consecutive year streak and continues to creep up the leader boards over the next couple years. Adding another pro bowl or two to the resume couldn’t hurt as he’s currently at 4.

Going to be historic if he does that. Is he a HOFer IMO? No. But neither was Curtis Martin and he not only got in, he was 1st ballot. So Evans likely will too

There is a path to the Hall of Fame as an accumulator, as Bootz mentioned. You just have to keep accumulating!

I think Frank Gore will be a good barometer on hoe the committee views players with these types of careers in the 2026. He never led the league in rushing, ran for over 1500 yards once, made 1 2nd team All-Pro and 5 Pro Bowls in 16 years. But he's 3rd all-time in rushing. You look at the top 16 rushers, they are all in the HOF except Gore & Adrian Peterson and only because they aren't yet eligible. Peterson is a lock of course. Gore should be too if the committee follows all of their guidelines.

I can't imagine a universe in which Mike Evans does not make the HoF. I understand what you guys are saying, but his consistency despite all the change and struggle this team has gone through speaks volumes. I guess some people simply like flash more than substance.

I've been cautiously hopeful for Mike's chance to make the Hall ever since we got him Tom Brady and a ring, and I think he's just about there.

The only guy with 85+ receiving touchdowns who is eligible for the Hall of Fame but not in it is Hines Ward -- and Ward is at 85 TDs exactly. Everybody else is still playing (Jimmy Graham, Davonte Adams, and Mike Evans) or waiting for eligibility (Larry Fitzgerald and Rob Gronkowski). Antonio Gates is a first time eligible candidate this year and I think he's a shoe-in for this upcoming class.

Mike Evans is at that 85 TD mark right now, and he will add to that total before the year is over and certainly before he hangs up his cleats. He will be in even more rarefied air if he hits the 100 TD mark, which would tie him with Tim Brown and Steve Largent for 9th most all-time.

Mike Evans already has the TDs, which are a reliable predictor for Hall of Fame success at the receiver position. He has The Streak, which he should continue this season if he stays healthy. He has a Superbowl ring with Tom Brady. And he has never been a toxic teammate or confrontational with the media, which shouldn't matter but does.

I think Mike Evans will make the Hall of Fame. And when he pulls a hammy walking up to that podium to receive his gold jacket, it'll bring a tear to my eye.

Please don't anyone take this the wrong way but Mike is just as much worthy of the HOF as any other guy we have had make it. We should be the last people to ever ask of his worthiness. If this guy was on any other team his legacy would already be that of the most unselfish receiver of his generation and there's not a whole lot of people who did more with less until Brady came along. On a team like Dallas he's already in. On a team like Green Bay the talk would be it's a crime if he keeps playing like this and doesn't make it. I'm not saying he's a GOAT as much as I'm asking "What more could he have done?"

But because he's a Buc the burden of proof is ridiculousness because even Buc fans treat their team like the orange headed stepchild. For example Lynch and Barber had no business waiting as long as they did and if either of them were in black and gold in Pittsburgh they'd have been 1st ballot. Paul Gruber gets a shot in hell vs none at all. We should consider ourselves lucky Brooks and Sapp are gonna be hovering in some pundit's top 10 lists for like all time so there wasn't any doubt

Evans and David would be getting press for being HoF locks if they were on better teams or in a bigger market at this stage of their careers. Both guys that just go do their jobs and do it very well. Evans has his drops troubles and his hammy is always a problem - but he's still got the streak.

I wonder who's the next in line to catch him. Like what are the active streaks right now? Jjets and Chase with like 2?

And JJ, an all time great WR, is probably losing his streak this season because of one little hamstring pull.

Put Evans streak and longevity into perspective.

He needs 430 yards. There is a lot of season left. That would be one bad hammy.

I would he shocked if he got first ballot. But I see him getting in like Ronde did eventually because his numbers and longevity are just so impressive despite never really being the best guy at their position.

Mike Evans became the first player in franchise history with 11,000 career receiving yards!

90 career TD's now. Only 150 yards away from his 10th consecutive 1,000 yard season. Hope he can blow up this week to get it at home. Next two games are on the road.

Will or could pass Gronk for receiving TD's this year.

Mike needs 3 more.

Was hoping for a monster game from Mike to have this honor at home, he did not disappoint.

Current YTD stats 1,012 Yards, 10 TDs.
Career stats 11,437 yards, 91 TDs. Good for 35th and tied for 13th all time.

Just for fun, if Mike can get another 513 yards and 5 more TDs in 5 games he will eclipse his best yearly totals of 1,524 (2018) and 14 TDs (2021).

New England is one of the worst teams in football, in a cold weather state with income tax, and is one of the few teams with an objectively worse offense than our own. And none of his friends are there.

The chances of Mike Evans going to the Pats anytime soon are practically nil.

If it’s not us, I see Houston as a possibility. His hometown, young exciting offense, flush with cap space.

Patriots have $75 million in outright cap space. They will have $90 million with no dead cap if they cut JC Jackson. I’ve seen some projections having them upwards of $120 million in cap space. For all intents and purposes, they have an unlimited amount of money if they do enough restructures.

- draft Marvin Harrison Jr #2 overall
- Sign Mike Evans
- hire Josh McDaniels as OC
- Sign Tom Brady
- Sign anyone you want to to reconfigure the rest of the offense

The defense is already good, considering the offense is the worse in the NFL today, and does them no favors. Insofar as giveaways, time of possession, etc.

Look honey, I just made a Super Bowl contender in five minutes.

Because Tom Brady spreads the ball around and isn’t utterly dependent on him.

Anyways, that’s what the patriots should do, and what Tom should do because he’s clearly miserable based on listening to his podcast. He still throws the ball every day for shit’s sake. Just go back home and make everything right again.

As much as the first comment may be true it's also because Mike is very much a 50/50 ball receiver and Tom didn't like putting the ball in harm's way.

Also, Tom is done, man. Accept.
