Outside of a couple of splash plays by the defense, Atl did what they wanted.

I really want to see this team start fresh. Al the money and resources wasted in trying to “compete” this season are being wasted. Create cap space and rebuild the offense. As long as Bowles is coach he’s going to put the resources into his defense and I just don’t want another Dungy ball era without the HOFers on defense and no Warrick Dunn giving us hope.

The playcalling was an issue too. We never should have left them enough time to try that last field goal. We had plenty of time to sneak in one run. Or at least a simple high percentage pass and just see if our guy can make a play happen. I also would have looked for at least one jump ball in the back corner of the end zone with Evans

Good RB’s will get 2-3 yards and grind it out. Twinkle toes can’t do that, we need a hard nose RB that can keep us ahead of the chains by grinding out 2-3 yard runs that will become 3-5 yard runs as the game moves on.

-Giving up a 40 yard play on a 40 second drive is unacceptable.

Yep. Close games are where coaching can really shine. Put players in good positions. Bowles never does that. He plays NOT to lose. His method is a recipe for losing.

Not to mention sitting on all three timeouts before halftime, letting the Falcons kill the clock and not give our offense a chance. They probably wouldn’t have scored, but not even trying is more pathetic than trying and failing.

What we need are three interior offensive linemen or a running back who can go outside and make the first man miss consistently, so we could have even a pretense of a running game. Right now we don't have either, so it's going to be a long season. Maybe we can scratch out a few more wins but first place is gone and I don't think we'll see it again this year.

One wonders what things are gonna look like next season. Baker is probably gone, Mike Evans is probably gone. you’re inserting either another retread starting quarterback, or a rookie.

You should be in a better cap situation, but to merely retain some different makers you’re gonna be spending a bunch.

I do find it hard to be optimistic when the offense needs this much work. And if you bring baker back, it instantly puts a ceiling on the offense.

I'm still encouraged. Our great pieces are still great. We just need to get out of the dead cap space era. Sign and draft accordingly. We have everything it takes to win 10+ next year. And yes that's with Baker.

We have no running game at all to speak of which is a huge problem.
It seems every time our defense gets beat it’s in zone we need to man up and play much more man coverage.
Ryan Neal is garbage that terrible angle gave them another 15-20 yards.

I wonder why I can watch the NYG run the same counter play 4-5 times in a row and pick up 5-10 yards a pop against the Bills the other night with an offensive line every bit as bad as ours but we can't pick up 4 yards consistently

Our two running backs had 17 attempts for 41 yards, in a game that went down to the wire, meaning no reason to keep them from getting the ball.

Baker Mayfield nearly matched their yards in a single scramble that was so atypical of him that the defense wasn't ready for it.
