We got flexed to the 4pm game btw.

This sucks. He's been one of the breakout rookies this year. Hope he comes back soon. He really elevated that Dolphins offense to a new level.

Re: Week 6 Discussion
THANK GOD we get to watch another primetime trainwreck instead of a 3-1 team vs a 4-1 team. I don't even want to imagine the consequences of NYC not getting constant exposure despite them having arguably the worst team in football right now. That was Tom Brady levels of clutch by the NFL to keep them at 8pm

He’s right up there with Chase, for me. Contact sport I guess.

Re: Week 6 Discussion
JJ is on a tier above Chase.
I haven't seen anything from Chase that puts him at that level. JJ and Hill, different kind of WRs, are in the top tier.
I'd say Adams and Chase are in that next step down.

The pieces are falling into place for us to cakewalk to the Superbowl.

Re: Week 6 Discussion
Has there been a worse trade than Russell Wilson to the Broncos?
Re: Week 6 Discussion
Wilson looked washed last year, so that was a really good trade for Seattle. I have no idea what Sean Payton was thinking, maybe his plan is to tank and get rid of Wilson and then get his own guy.
Re: Week 6 Discussion
Russell Wilson looks as good as ever this year. Currently 2nd in TD passes, 4th in passer rating, completion 67% of his passes, just 2 INTs to 11 TDs,
Hard to win games though when your defense is giving up more than 5 TDs a game. He'll take the blame of course because of last year and because he's not leading his offense to 37ppg. But Sean Payton has been a bigger problem for the Broncos than Russell Wilson this year.

Re: Week 6 Discussion
DeShaun Watson, line one.
As was said, Wilson is playing decent and the Broncos didn't have a QB.
The Brown had a #1 overall pick they had just led them to a playoff win against the Steelers while he was healthy. So the Browns ditched him and traded 3 first round picks and 230m dollars for the rights to a rapist who they knew was going to be suspended for his first season. Now, he's clearly fallen off and his sporting a QBR of 29
If the Texans nail it with those picks, and they are playing well now, this will be viewed in the same league as the Herschel Walker trade....maybe even better.
Re: Week 6 Discussion
The Browns are 2-2 right now with a win over the Browns and a close loss to the Steelers in division. They definitely paid too much for him.Terry Tate wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 8:13 pmDeShaun Watson, line one.

The Browns often beat themselves. Truth.
Re: Week 6 Discussion
So is your point about the Broncos or Russell Wilson? Because this is a 180 from what you saidBJJ34 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 8:30 pmThe Browns are 2-2 right now with a win over the Browns and a close loss to the Steelers in division. Wilson fumbling the game away this past weekend, not good optically speaking... but I agree, he's not the player(s) that should questioned(this year)Bootz wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 5:32 pm Russell Wilson looks as good as ever this year. I think sex offender is the more accurate charge.. if he was charged.. admittedly I checked out after he reached level "fucked"..ie 2nd accuser.Terry Tate wrote: ↑Tue Oct 10, 2023 8:13 pmDeShaun Watson, line one.

Re: Week 6 Discussion
I recall when the Saints traded their entire draft for a running back (Ricky Williams) who quickly controlled-substance himself into a yearlong trip around the world to find himself. Now he did have three decent years and new owner Dan Snyder blew all the profits on bad trades the other way, but the entire draft for a #5 pick? That has to rank up there in the top 20 if not top 10.

Running QB's are all the rage until they get injured and miss games.

Re: Week 6 Discussion
Because there is a reason he's only been in 8 games and it's not just injury. Granted, him getting beaten out by Mr Irrelevant loses some of it's stink with every game Purdy plays. Still though, he had every shot in a very QB friendly system and couldn't do it.mdb1958 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 2:31 pmWhy? Seems like it’s been awhile since we had a smaller injury report than the other team.

I think people are far too unforgiving when it comes to missing in the draft. Even missing big.Miller4Prez64 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 11, 2023 2:22 pmTrey Lance trade is way worse. Them lucking out with Purdy makes people forget that as an all time draft blunder.
