Re: Week 5 Discussion
Wow, patriots lost 72-3 in back to back weeks, including a shutout.
Brady isn't there to carry the dogshit roster BB would assemble every year.
At the very least, Bill needs to be fired as GM.

Re: Week 5 Discussion
He was on his back with the ball. He even slid about a yard.
How would that, in any way, be a pick?
Edit: upon replay. That's 100% a catch and down. The defender didn't even make an attempt until well after him being down.

The Eagles are starting to round into shape. Rest of the NFC better take notice.

I'm not even watching that game, didn't see the play. But I noticed the source and immediately knew there were shannigans at play.uscbucsfan1 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2023 6:33 pmHe was on his back with the ball. He even slid about a yard.

Ball was moving around the whole time. But it's the chiefs, so it doesn't really matter whether it was a catch or notuscbucsfan1 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2023 6:33 pmHe was on his back with the ball. He even slid about a yard.

“When you see the coaches and players working on the sideline, that’s what we’re doing. We’re preparing to call the next series of plays and ultimately somebody will make the call,” said Belichick. “As I said, I would have the final say on that. If there’s something I didn’t want to call, we wouldn’t call it. If there’s something I did want to call, we would call it.”
Belichick says he gets input from all the coaches, be it Nick Caley (tight ends), Troy Brown and Ross Douglas (receivers), Vinnie Sunseri (running backs), and Joe (Judge).”
And even though Matt Patricia has been calling plays in the preseason, Belichick once again described the process as being a collaborative effort. In the end, though, the buck stops with him.”

You are literally making things up because you hate the Chiefs.
Re: Week 5 Discussion
That says nothing about him coaching or teaching offensive football...Snake wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2023 6:35 pmhttps://archive.ph/PeM1x

PI IMO.
It was a bad throw, but maybe he could have adjusted.

Lol here we go again. The refs just decided to ignore dpi against the Chiefs.

Ball was 20 feet away from where the receiver/db were. If he was A-Train, maybe he can make an "adjustment".uscbucsfan1 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2023 7:14 pm PI IMO.

Re: Week 5 Discussion
Pause at 6 seconds. Ball lands directly above the "S" Players are close to out of bounds. He ain't "adjusting" to anything, as his momentum was already going towards the back pylon.uscbucsfan1 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2023 7:17 pmI thought it was like 5 or 6, but I didn't watch it twice.
Not directing this at you, but the Chiefs jealousy is reaching Patriots in the late 2000s level. I'm not even watching this game but Twitter blew up and I had to see the complaint.

And they ignored him taking his helmet off. Should've been unsportsmanlike at the very least.

Can Cousins create a miracle?

Re: Week 5 Discussion
The PI was not catchable that is why they picked up the flag. TJ Watt was penalized earlier today for taking off his helmet. It is a stupid penalty but they should not be allowed to pick and choose who can or can not take their helmets off. It has to be consistent. The Chiefs still would have got the ball back since it occurred after the play.

Re: Week 5 Discussion
KC Cheats win again. Really kills my love of the game watching a team be given wins by the refs without them even attempting to hide it.
Re: Week 5 Discussion
What the league should be afraid of is how the Chiefs are winning. Their defense has been lights out all season. 21, 9, 10, 20, 20. This offense is gonna round into shape. But they aren't relying on Mahomes being Superman to win games thus far. Chiefs with a defense is a guarantee to repeat as champs.

Agreed. The helmet off rule is dumb but it's the rule. Snead should've been penalized.Onthebrink wrote: ↑Sun Oct 08, 2023 7:29 pm The PI was not catchable that is why they picked up the flag. Cowboys/Niners is the best matchup thus far this season.

Yeah, especially taking it off for the express purpose of yelling at the ref. Irrelevant to the outcome, but still. This was my literal reaction watching that play: "That's not interference, he was just running with hi..... oh, you dumbass."

That was easy, San Fran.

Kyle is playing with fire by using mcaffrey so much and so early into the season.
49ers are the best team in the league if they stay healthy. But that's the rub, since the 49ers are made of paper mache.

Mine, too. I grew up in upstate NY, but I was a 49ers fan living in NY - despite the Phil Simms Giants and then eventually the Bills and the K-Gun and all of that noise - because I idolized Ronnie Lott. I was 42 in all sports high school, until my first year on varsity football somebody had it, so I went 24. First chance I had, back to 42. As a quarterback, lol. But I was also a free safety, so it was okay.
He made adopting the Bucs easy when I moved down here, because that was '99 and we had Lynch. My adopted pseudo-Lott.

This is so much better to watch than the arena league bullshit that the NFL has become.

2 of my dad's sisters moved to Oakland before I was even born. By the time I came around, we use to visit every year. The Raiders were still in LA and my uncle was a HUGE Niners fan. So from a young age that was the 1st time I really saw a die-hard fan of a team. Kinda stuck with me.
