Cincinnati has ND, Indiana, and Tulane on the docket. Everyone else seems like a cupcake. Hell, Tulane still might be.

They may finish up with one loss to ND.

I dislike FSU. But FSU should be ranked or Notre Dame should not have moved UP to 8. They were right with ND until the two interceptions by Travis and they STILL almost came back and beat them, if not for the doink off the upright. I don't know how the pollsters can justify saying "Oh Notre Dame is as good as we thought they would be." and "FSU is not worth being in the top 25." Can anyone rationalize that to me?

Games I plan on watching at least condensed (15 minute) versions of if not the whole games. One may catch your eye.

Houston @ Rice. Neither team is good. Cross town rivalry though. Schools are only separated by 5 miles. Bunch 2* players trying to give each other CTE with extreme prejudice.

Air Force @ Navy. I try to follow the military academy games.

Iowa (10) @ Iowa State (9). Iowa is a solid program and this could be their best team in years. ISU's Matt Campbell should be the hottest coach on the market again.

Oregon (12) @ Ohio State (3). Oregon's best player and pass rusher - and potential #1 overall pick - Thibodeaux is day-to-day. He should play. Oregon really needed him 100% for this one. OSU is heavily favored. If Buckeye's RS freshman QB has to play from behind in the fourth and Oregon is playing stiff...who knows?

Utah (21) @ BYU. Aka The Holy War. This rivalry is as deep as it gets. At least as deep as it can get with Mormons involved. The Church of Latter-day Saints literally owns BYU. LDS members largely compose the UU student body. There's some church vs state undertones. Utah has won 9 straight meetings and is seen as the superior program.

Nice stadium design

They should close in the bottom end and add little horn buildings sticking out of the top. Make the footprint look like the logo.

Hopefully we lose to Ball State so my hopes get dashed early.

I have this weird mental philosophy that if penn state wins, the bucs are doomed to lose then. Vice versa as well.

The Nittany Lions had the worst year in program history essentially, lol. Further proving my delusional theory that the universe revolves around my choice of football teams.

Iowa State played a Missouri Valley conference team and started, according to ESPN, with a 97.9% probability of win before the kickoff and barely won. Iowa played a ranked Indiana Hoosiers team wasn't in doubt early in the first quarter. Now Indiana probably shouldn't have been ranked. But they are better than a MVC team. I am not sure how competitive it will be but I bet on the game, so I will watch it. On to the game, go Bucs!

This tells me the recruiting apparatus for college football is accurate at projecting pros. The above list isn’t far off from these teams’ positions in the yearly recruiting rankings.

Clemson - 39
Oklahoma - 36

I just googled them individually, not sure who else is up there or where that places them on any ranking list.

589-658-58 all time.

21-108 since Mangino left in 2010.

2 winless seasons in the last 6.

I think you’re correct.

I can’t tell if OSU doesn’t look great or if Oregon looks great.

OSU DC Coombs isn’t looking like a great DC over the last couple years.
