Why are we trying to pound the ball up the middle?

It's an odd choice. Not because of the call necessarily, but what the defense is showing.

The Eagles are showing alot of Bear fronts tonight, with three defenders between the B gaps. If you have an inside run called, you need to check out of that, because you aren't going to move all that meat in the middle, it'll be a stalemate at best.

For whatever reason, we aren't checking out or those looks.

If/when we run the ball, we need to attack the bubbles in the defense. Against a Bear front, with three DL between the B gaps, there isn't a bubble to attack.

The way the Eagles Oline and Dline is dominating our trenches reminds of the way Oregon Oline and Dline completely dominated Colorado on Saturday.

We need some tougher players in the trenches especially the dline. Logan Hall is too soft imho.
