That missed FG against the Giants was brutal. He was pretty terrible as a rookie, maybe patience would’ve payed off but we won a Super Bowl with Succop so nothing to be upset about.

Matt Prater just thunderfooted for 62 yards to end the half.

When you're the quarterback of the Chicago Bears
Re: Week 3 Discussion
That was impressive as hell. I didn't think he'd come close. Turns out I was right, he didn't come close. Close to the crossbar that is. That did it with room to spare is a complement to him.
Justin Tucker came up short from 61 today.

So I got into it with some friends the other day when I said I was ready to declare McDaniel the top offensive mind over McVay and Kyle. What a day.
Re: Week 3 Discussion
Carolina is playing Seattle tough.
Re: Week 3 Discussion
These suppose to be the generation Cowboys?
Re: Week 3 Discussion
That much is clear to me. What's crazy is neither of them put together offenses this explosive and efficient before.
Kyle's system is very throwback and built around the run game. He doesn't take advantage of the 3rd level of the defense in the pass game. He also leaves his QBs dead to rights a lot with all of the naked boots.
McVay takes advantage of all levels of the defense. But his running games are very generic. He is also a bit Andy Reid with the Eagles, in that he will abandon his run game too early and often.

Idk that Reid abandons the Run as, his philosophy or version of the WCO, uses the short passing game as a form of the run.Bootz wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 6:15 pmThat much is clear to me. What's crazy is neither of them put together offenses this explosive and efficient before.

"Reid in Philly". I see I botched the grammar there. But Reid in Philly would often abandon his run game if it wasn't working.Central_Buc wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 6:22 pmIdk that Reid abandons the Run as, his philosophy or version of the WCO, uses the short passing game as a form of the run.Bootz wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 6:15 pm

I very rarely bet on sports anymore. But I had to take the pats today. Scared me at the end though…
Re: Week 3 Discussion
Zach just looks like he's done with football. Fine. Move on. Good GMs take their L's quick and spit them out. Don't chew on Wilson.

Re: Week 3 Discussion
Man the broncos are just a dumpster fire. This time last year, Denver was 2-1 with only a 1 point loss. After trading a 1st and 2nd round pick for Payton, they're now 0-3 with a point differential of -53...
What's makes this funnier is that Payton talked a bunch of shit about Hackett and his coaching job, and now he is the proud owner of the most embarrassing regular season loss of all time.
Couldn't have happened to a shittier person.

He was a rich spoiled brat that went to BYU. He's never had to face adversity in his life. No wonder he's crumbled and failed so badly in the NFL.

Re: Week 3 Discussion
They're not exactly 2-0 by virtue of beating great football teams. But nevertheless I can't turn on anything without hearing about Dallas like this is the year. I can't understand why they're constantly being praised for what they're SUPPOSED TO be doing. They might as well get their own participation trophy every weekBootz wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 6:56 pmI can't think of a situation where a 2-1 team needs to be defended. These Are The Days wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 6:48 pm

Re: Week 3 Discussion
Its said the same about our team but I argue that the Vikings are not as bad as their record and could easily be 3-0.These Are The Days wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 7:05 pmThey're not exactly 2-0 by virtue of beating great football teams. Blane Gabbert doing what he does best. Collecting checks and throwing ints.
Re: Week 3 Discussion
I meeeeaaann isn't that true for every 2-0 team? Who's beaten a "great" team? These Are The Days wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 7:05 pmThey're not exactly 2-0 by virtue of beating great football teams. But nevertheless I can't turn on anything without hearing about Dallas like this is the year

Re: Week 3 Discussion
Well I'm going to say Chicago is worse than Arizona. This is a good year for Chicago to get a QB in the draft.
Re: Week 3 Discussion
The last thing Chicago needs is to think a QB is going to fix their issues. They need to start with the GM & coaching staff. Then the roster as a whole.Central_Buc wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 7:15 pm Well I'm going to say Chicago is worse than Arizona. This is a good year for Chicago to get a QB in the draft.

Yeah, I agree with most of your point. Its year 3 with Fields, so either he isn't a fit with Chicago and needs to go elsewhere or he isn't it at all.Bootz wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 7:16 pmThe last thing Chicago needs is to think a QB is going to fix their issues. Chicago needs a new coaching staff, GM and may as well start fresh with a better prospect in a new QB. I fully expect Chicago to flush their staff out at the end of the year.

Re: Week 3 Discussion
Just read where David Carr is going to be out for several weeks. That means the Bucs will be playing a Jamies Winston led NO Saints team.
Re: Week 3 Discussion
The Saints will be playing a Baker Mayfield led Bucs team. So they're even.GreatTimes wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 7:34 pm Just read where David Carr is going to be out for several weeks. That means the Bucs will be playing a Jamies Winston led NO Saints team.

Re: Week 3 Discussion
That is true for their entire roster. Swapping Fields with say Drake Maye or Caleb Williams is likely still a team picking #1 overall. I think you're underestimating how bad that organization is right now.Central_Buc wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 7:27 pmYeah, I agree with most of your point.
