Got great balance on offense. D did what it needed to do against a bad offense.

Still though, feels like points were left on the field.

I know I told you I’d give him the entire season, but dear lord, Fields is horrendous.

We definitely left 20 more. It was closer that it should have been.

Bucs controlled this whole Game. Penalties were killer today. Points left on the field were largely due to penalties. I wasn't a fan of the conservative play calling at the end. In the end, the DEF took care of the W.

Red zone offense needs work.
Special teams needs work.
Six sacks and two turnovers is excellent.
Mike Evans is a beast.

Yea it felt like this should've been a 38-17 type game.

- Baker Mayfield has moxxy in spades and he's winning me over.
- The running game looked competent for the first time since the Germany game last year.
- Mike Evans needs an extension
- Trey Palmer still making plays.
- Outside of Goedeke making a few fuckups, the OL played pretty good I think.
- The pass rush is crazy good and Kancey wasn't even playing. Great teamwork all around imo.
- Would have to watch that explosive run that went to the left again before I make any hard judgements, but outside of that one the run defense was great.
- White and LVD both looking in midseason form.
- Izien looks like a steal.
- Winfield is playing at a Pro Bowl level.
- Zyon McCollum did admirably in relief duty for Carlton Davis.

Overall, a great team win. Closer than it shoulda been because our red zone offense needs work and we had a few misfires, but all and all I like the direction the team is going. We are developing an identity; a balanced offense with shot plays to Mike and Chris, keep the safeties in the box because we are so stubborn with the run, which controls Time of Possession and keeps our elite defense fresh and ready to make plays. As a defensive- minded HC myself, this pleases me greatly.

2-0 feels good.

Go Bucs.

True believers been saying it all off-season.

This is way more fun than tanking, imo.

We sure did. I don't like the fact that Canales went conservative after the Evans TD. I didn't see a single pass beyond the first down marker after that.... not one.

And if not for that pick six, we could be singing a different tune

The opening defensive allowance of long catches is still aggravating. But that's an "It's a Bucs Life" deal that has been going on for almost as long as this team has existed. But given the end result, I will fume quietly.

Overall, I was impressed by this team's team-play this week. I am optimistic it will continue to improve every week going forward.

On the bright side, I think proving we can win ugly whether vs a bad team like the Bears or good team like the Vikes is a positive sign.

As long as this this team shows improvement every week we will see them clean these things up.

They had some shots dialed up late that Baker didn’t or couldn’t take.

And I will add that Mayfield is looking like a bull back there. He is impressing, and dare I say, exciting me. His ability to avoid the tackles and then making an actual play, are quite surprising. And Lastly he is protecting the ball at a high level as well. Solid A- QB playing (gets the minus for missing wide open Evans).

They had several crucial plays that they picked up on great play calls. First TD with White. 4th down play with White. Big 3rd down to White.

I’m loving the play design and execution. The timing routes have been really great.

I love the run on 3rd and goal. I love a lot of our runs.

I don't know if I'd say it's conservative. You tell me a QB like Fields pinned back vs our defense and the clock? I say advantageous us every day.

I Told ya he was a good QB before the season started. He developed into something good in Cleveland 2020 before he got screwed over. He's still growing and I think, for us he will be the Mayfield the league expected when he came out as time goes on.

Second week with a fun game. Baker played better than last week, overall, and TEAM confidence in him is improving.

Evans looks like he was coming off the flu or something. Yet 171 yards and a TD leaves no complaints.
I hope it was just heat-related and he's ok. Pay this man his money!

AWJ (Lil Tweeze?) continues to ball out.

Defense is playing in midseason form. Good communication, not missing assignments, setting each other up for splash plays.

Evans has always needed a blow after big plays. Notorious helmet tapper.
