No it wouldn't. Commanders, Giants, Chargers, Broncos, Raiders, plus our division games. I would hope we can beat at least one or two for 12 or 13 wins. What's the point of bringing back the coaching staff and Mayfield if there is no improvement?

I like how casually we just sweep the entire division in your expectation.

Tank for an easier schedule next year?!
Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
Right? Like who actually expects and goes go 6-0 in their division? We didn't even do it with Brady or either of our SB winning seasons.

If you see 12+ wins out of this team next season, you must be smoking that gas.

Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
It really depends:
1. Does the division remain utter trash? If so, that’s helpful.
2. Does LVD come back? If so, that’s helpful.
3. Does Evans re-sign? That would be huge.
4. Does the team re-sign Devin White to a dumb contract or make better use of the $?
5. Can Baker maintain his good performance in back to back seasons? He’s yet to do so in his career.
The team has a lot of talent in key areas. But, they won’t be “adding” $70m or whatever in talent (dead cap coming off books) because Evans/Winfield/Wirfs/Mayfield are all guys in line for big raises.
It will be more about getting better on the margins.

Mike Evans named to the Pro Bowl. Winfield snubbed.

Gotta be shitting me
Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
Even other fans noticed the snub

It would be funny if it didn’t have actual consequences. Just sad.

Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
Maybe we can keep him for less money now?!
Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
I’m hopeful that by the time Winfield retires, popularity contests like the pro bowl will have less of an emphasis in things like rings of honor and Hall of Fame. Reporters are getting smarter, analytics movement, etc.

In a more positive light, with Evans getting in it is his 5th Pro Bowl. Making him the 9th player in team history to represent Tampa Bay in the Pro Bowl 5 times. Second offensive player, other being Alstott.

Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
Winfield not making it shows just how irrelevant we've become. AWJ has a legit DPOY claim and he can't even make the pro bowl??
Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
I hope there weren’t any contract incentives that weren’t met because of not being selected.
Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
I wouldn't care, but pro bowl appearances is one of the first things listed when showing a players career accolades (for some reason) and Hall of Fame candidacy. So the fact that players get massively snubbed really sucks.

Mike Evans is the only Bucs chosen as a starter for the Pro Bowl with four other teammates as alternate.
Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
I guess an alternative is better than nothing!
Really happy for Wirfs/Winfield if people dropout

Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
Antoine Winfield Jr should be the starter. I can't think of a better safety than him.

Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
Winfield is one of the bigger snubs my own memory. He lost to a guy with 0 sacks, 0 ints and 0 ff or fr. I'd wager his every down efficiency is just as good as his big play stats just going by the eyeball test.
Thr pro bowl remains a joke. The All Pro list is usually decent, I'm sure he will be there.

Welcome to LVD Land! Population you, AWJ!
Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
At least AWJ is a first alternate so yay?
Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
The words ProBowler Baker Mayfield are going to make a lot of people puke.
Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
Well not really because the pro bowl is a joke and no one cares about it.....Or something like that right?

Re: **Official 2023 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Season Thread**
The same pro bowl has proven to be a joke at the same time (see: Baker over Winfield). So Baker being a "Pro Bowler" is meh.
