1.Delineate which games you predict we will win and which games you predict we will lose - NOT just the end of year record

2.Winner will be determined by how many individual games win/loss predicted correctly NOT the prediction of our total season win/loss record
(although that will be interesting to see regardless).

3. At the end of the season whomever predicted with the most accuracy which specific games we won and which specific games we lost, will win the title of Tampa Bay Bucs ‘Most prolific knowledgable football brain of the game‘.

4.You may edit your pics up until September 9, 2023 12:58pm

5.If we win more than 11 games I will include a prize for this years winner -
These can be made either male or females: Buc's Earrings, Bucs keychain, Bucs bracelet, Bucs ring -

I think we start the season playing .500 ball, but the back half of the schedule is very winnable.

Go Bucs.

There’s way too many winnable games. I’ll say that much.

I think we start off shaky. 6-4, then win 7 straight. First four games of the seasons we start 2-2.

Final prediction 13-4. Remember, Baker does well when he's not suppose to and he does bad when he's suppose to do good.

*Edit* - 9/10/23

Thought I'd go ahead and edit this and put exact wins and losses as the first one played out like I thought. This way I get some credit later on if I get anything else right.
Week 1: Minnesota Vikings - Win

Week 2: Chicago Bears - Loss

Week 3: Philadelphia Eagles - Loss (though I think it'll be down to whichever defense makes the last play; aka shoot out.)

Week 4: New Orleans Saints – Win

Week 5: BYE WEEK - Tie

Week 6: Detroit Lions - Win

Week 7: Atlanta Falcons - Win

Week 8: Buffalo Bills - Loss

Week 9: Houston Texans - Win

Week 10: Tennessee Titans - Win

Week 11: San Francisco 49ers - Loss

Week 12: Indianapolis Colts - Win

Week 13: Carolina Panthers - Win

Week 14: Atlanta Falcons - Win

Week 15: Green Bay Packers - Win

Week 16: Jacksonville Jaguars - Win

Week 17: New Orleans Saints - Win

Week 18: Carolina Panthers - Win

Agreed. We play only six games against team that has winning records last season; the Vikings, Eagles, Lions, Bills, 49ers, and Jaguars. We play the three teams who has the top four picks in the draft (Panthers, Texans, and Colts) as well as the team that traded out of the top spot (Bears).

Wins are there to be had. The question is are we good enough to take them.

Consider that you would have said the same thing last year! If Brady wouldn't have summoned late 4th quarter heroics 4 times last year out of nowhere (where the offense didn't have a pulse), we would have lost four (?) more games.

Early middle of our schedule last year was a complete cupcake. Just begging for easy wins. But we found ways to vomit all ourselves against Pittsburgh, Carolina, and Cleveland. And we tried to do the same against the others above. Last year was an absolute mess and could have trivially been a 4 win season.

I think what I'll say about this 2023 team is (a) we better play well early and develop some semblance of self-belief and belief in process + (b) the right side of the OL better not be a calamity of assignment errors (assignment errors in a mid/outside zone heavy scheme lead to catastrophic disruption and negative plays) + (c) we better stay healthy nearly across the board (we can afford a little bit of a bug at Edge but that is about it). If all three of those don't materialize, I would expect a hemorrhaging of "winnable games" and attendant spiral.

Doctor, Xandtar, Cheb, Central_Buc and I are the only ones who picks up opening at 2-0. Welcome to the rest of y’all

Only Xandtar and Central_Buc pick us to win next weeks game (out of everyone on this page lol) hopefully that means a boat load of us are wrong.

Mostly because I think our D is in Hurts head, Our D (historically in 2 games) know how to rattle him a bit.. They might also be cocky coming in, They are coming off a long layoff, their D looks suspect so far..a lot could go right. I do worry about our OL vs their DLine. Baker has to throw quick.

You have a 5-1 division record. That's a division championship and home playoff game.

I’ve also hit 3 of 4.

I was 50/50 on the Vikings, but thought there’d be a learning curve on O and didn’t expect the Vikings to be so doomed this season. Happy to be wrong!

I thought we'd split with the Saints down the line after we gelled more. To go into NOLA and win this early is very impressive. Bucs and I are both 3-1.

I got us with a W vs Detriot, lets go!!

So far I have four games correct and one wrong.

Unfortunately, this puts the Buccaneers at 3-2 and not 4-1.

If I hold on the remainder of my predictions they will end up 10-7.

I am a little worried about the Texans, but less worried about the Packers. We will see. We will see.

I predicted starting 1-3 and we started 3-1. I was pleasantly surprised at 3-1. I was CONvinced we were a top 10 team.

I also predicted we'd be 3-5. It's hard to believe we've lost 4 straight. Regardless of how impressed I was with Bowles after week 4 I can't muster a bit of support for him right now.

I remember watching Todd Bowles post game speech after we went 3-1 with the bye week coming up he says "we're going to take the week off" to which the entire locker room erupted upon realizing they all got the entire bye week off.

If this is in fact correct, and they took that entire week off and then we just completely lost our focus it is an extremely bad look for Bowles.

When I think about great coaches I think about coaches like Andy Reid who dominates after the bye week. I just don't think Bowles has "it". Losing four straight after your week 5 bye week isn't a good look particularly when his defense has looked poor. What if they had spent that week scheming and brainstorming?

Bowle's is just clearly not on top of his game. We pay all that money for man corners and play a weak zone defense and now they look like they forgot how to cover. It's bad. If we're going to lose we need to lose playing aggressive man defense, not a zone defense that our corners arent even suited to play.

We pay all that money for man corners and play a weak zone defense and now they look like they forgot how to cover. It's bad. If we're going to lose we need to lose playing aggressive man defense, not a zone defense that our corners arent even suited to play.
I would like to change this a bit.

Bowles is on the top of his game. His game just SUCKS.

With that said if they can vibe enough on offense to get to points against the Vikings and Bears they can get a hot start, then you have the Eagles. They get to see exactly how they play and measure up against the NFC rep, the standard for the Super Bowl. If they come away feeling good, that sets the tone for the season.

I think the defense can start fast and still get better with the season. But overall it's going to come down to this offensive line gelling and the offense rolling. We're scheming our weapons open and we have pretty darn good weapons. Steelers, Jets, Ravens are a great preseason warm up. Two good teams in the Vikings and Bears. It's a good set up for a pre-test to where we are. Then we get a BYE and then get to make changes and grow thru 13 more games before showtime. It's a good schedule with a good bench test every 3 weeks (Eagles, Bills, 9ers, Jags).
Whoa.
