The robot is delusional. Good God, can we get a repair please?
Not saying Lions win that but I don't think they are your father's Lions team anymore, they are going to be much better than we're used to Lions teams being
That has zero to do with this game against the Chiefs. The Lions are gonna get crushed.

Week 6 v the Lions… creamsicles???

Also, process of elimination points to week 2 being home opener against the Bears. Open with the creamsicles?

If it isn’t that game, I think we will play TN … or in either Houston or San Fran. That would mean we start with back to back road games, and won’t open at home until the Eagles on MNF.

That would be brutal.

Edit: my bad TN is a home game, so that’s also a possibility.

It would be fitting. Maybe Gibbs is the next Barry Sanders and we can party like it's 1991.

I could see the Lions folding under this moment, against a great team on a huge stage with some actual expectations behind them.

But I still think they win the NFCN, and they do so without a lot of drama.

First game is a rough time for this game, not much time to gel....

Would have given them much better chance later in the season

This has to be a joke.

In what world would the Lions ever be seen as anything more than a 7 point underdog against the Chiefs? On the road? In primetime?

The fact that it would take another part of the season for them to have a better chance should answer that question. They don't stack up. Jared Goff is gonna go toe to toe with Patrick Mahomes? Give me a break.

Eh, I think they still have issues at qb and lack explosive WRs. Chicago could be the surprise team in the NFCN, not Detroit.

Detroits biggest issue is that defense. It’s terrible.

I think their porous defense with few playmakers is more of a challenge than Goff going toe to toe with Mahomes

They added some good players this offseason, especially in the secondary. It remains to be seen if they'll come together quick enough. Should be a better unit anyway.

We have a week 4 bye week, lol.

And we have to pay the Eagles week 3 on MNF. Was hoping we wouldn't have any primetime games this year.

That's going to be an ugly ugly ugly ugly loss.

Weird.... We travel (according to the graph) almost 24000 miles, yet we only cross the Mississippi River twice (Houston and San Francisco).

That's what we get for being division winners.

On a couple of other notes, I'm not a huge fan of Primetime games either but having a couple is perfect, would hate having 0, so im happy with that.

And as I thought CBS and Fox will split the games.

12 (probably 13) 1PM Games.
2 Primetime Games Total, if you count TNF.
Week 5 Bye.
Open on the Road.
6 Road Games in 8 Weeks at one point.

I guess we know what the NFL thinking about the 2023 Bucs.

Losing a game 13-4 seems really on brand ATM.

So you're saying that the D will hold another team to 13 points?

Just kidding, but I am not seeing another playoff bound season here. I don't like Bowles as a HC, but he is a great DC.

I absolutely hated Leftwich as OC, and we will see what Canales can do. But I doubt it could be worse than Leftwich.

I see the nfc south as being a bunch of teams nearing the same mark since I am not a Derek Carr fan.

The Bucs do have some pieces and should do a little better than national pundits think, but I expect a rather mediocre season. If they still had BA or another dynamic coach, I could see them making the playoffs.

Go Bucs!

I think this year is going to have a very Tony Dungy vibe, but without all that confidence and direction he brought to the table.

Very likely the first 5 games are all losses. Heat will be on Bowles big time at this point. He will be sweating bullets. Vikings, Eagles, Saints, Lions. This squad ain't beating any of those teams. The only shot they have is vs the Bears which depends if Bowles can finally stop a rushing QB or not.

Also could see the team fall apart and lose any hope if that's how they start the season. Which will lead to worse play.

I see 5-6 wins max and that's being optimistic. Probably beat Falcons once, the Texans, Panthers once, possibly Titans and Colts.

Let's hope that's bad enough for a top 5 pick to get a QB.
