I'm starting to wonder if McClanahan didn't blow out his arm overdoing every pitch he throws because he's just gonna get yanked after 80 tosses anyway. I can't for the life of me understand how this keeps happening when Cash gets openly criticized for how much he babies these guys. Like I don't think he's the cause here unless that is what's happening

There's a second accuser against Franco and it's not the one we already saw on social media. May God have mercy on this young man because no one else is going to if he's guilty

There's not many situations in sports that I would call hopeless but that is about as close as it gets. That was 8 damn seconds before the guy could even get the ball in his hand because it must've smacked off the wall at 60 mph and rolled ON THE WALL and then onto the grass 100+ feet at 20 mph at least. It's gonna be a second before we see something like that happen again. What are you even supposed to do to defend that?

No kidding. He was rounding third before anybody put a hand on the ball.... and that hand was well over a football field - 390 feet - from the plate.

I’ll be shocked if the Rays win the World Series without 3 starting pitchers and Franco

So snakebit this year.... Somebody needs to check the Trop for snipers.

It does speak volumes about the organization, though. The fact that the Rays can take hit, after hit, after hit, and just absorb them. Still keep piecing it together and winning. A team like the Yankees loses one or two guys, and their entire season is shot all to hell.

I learned my lesson about assuming things in these situations. But this doesn’t look good at all.

Looks like the Rays found a team with a worse bullpen then theirs.

The Rays a lot more focused now after a pretty rough midsummer. They are keeping pace with the Orioles, who haven't slowed down at all. But we play a 4 game set against them in a couple of weeks. So we can still control our destiny.

The Birds will probably be without their stud closer, Bautista. Blew up his UCL Friday.

I think that will hurt them more than most "one player" losses. They rely so heavily on their ability to shorten games.

Hopefully we can take advantage. This offense is back to simply out hitting and out slugging teams. I like our chances if we can keep it close with that upcoming series In Baltimore.

The Rays are now a season high 30 games over .500. Just 1.5 behind Baltimore. They are surging at the right time.

True, but unfortunately (other than last night), it seems Baltimore keeps matching their pace.

Not necessarily, but it would definitely make things easier to win each of those series.

Also this is somehow Jalen Beeks' fault. I just have to figure out a way to blame him
