They’d be a 7 point favorite over Texas.

the spread is pointless. I'm going to guess the 'stars' will be opting out.. and can you blame them? Nothing says it's pointless more than a game that means nothing after a season the met nothing.

Honestly, I think Alabama is the best team in the top 4.

I think Michigan, Texas, and Alabama are all really close, but I think Michigan is the best team and if they play their game, will win it all. They match up much better against Alabama than they would have Georgia. I think Georgia's the team they most wanted to avoid and they got their wish.

You guys can make all the excuses you want. You can stand on your heads to justify it. You can regurgitate all talking points the NCAA, ESPN, and the sports books feed you. FSU got royally screwed by the selection committee when they were left out of the 4-team playoffs.

Champions are determined on the field. This isn’t Olympic gymnastics where judges decide the winners. It’s football. Football is judged by on-field results. Facts are that FSU beat every team they faced. Including to SEC teams. Facts are they won their conference championship by 2 TD’s. Full stop. FSU was fucked over.

Agreed. An undefeated conference champion should make it into a top four tournament; even if they've looked less than stellar the last few games, they still won them.

Thankfully next year we won't have such egregious selection errors, hopefully.

Yeah, that’s cringe.

I hope they invested the reported $500k that McCord made this season from NIL…

I’m seeing a lot of rhetoric online from non-Ohio State fans saying that Ohio State fans are ruining his life and other players lives with their unrealistic expectations. And that’s why the players are transferring. If you look at the list of guys in the portal, it’s really no major contributors outside of McCord…Who most will tell you was the weak link this season.

I don’t think Ohio State fans are being unrealistic. There are five or six programs whose fans should expect them to never lose a game again. This is only become more solidified with NIL. The rich have gotten richer.

It’s not just a game, and I think anyone who says that is being dishonest. Or they haven’t thought it through.

Coaches are making $10 million a year. Quarterbacks are making millions of dollars. There are a couple programs who make sure every single roster spot is compensated with cash. Tens of millions of people watch it every week. At this point probably more people watch football on Saturday and Sunday than actually attend church.

People wouldn’t stop watching football if it meant that less bombs would be dropped in Middle East. That I can guarantee you.

Oh its an absolute robbery and travesty. Like he said, whats the point of playing games? If you're just going to look at a roster and make a judgement call?

Imagine someone saying "No one wants to see the Wentzless Eagles" or "maybe if it was the Bledsoe Pats, not the Brady Pats lets redraw the SB."

What if the back up was named Manning? You think they pulling FSU then? But because it's not?

This sensation here is also why I so strongly oppose draft lotteries. You play a whole season and someone who doesnt deserve it jumps you in positioning for absolutely no fucking reason. But at least you get to sit there and say "aw shucks" while they celebrate. Think I'm BS'ing? Wait til the Bucs lose another Calvin Johnson to the Lions because they lost their draft positioning. This here is because people sat down and did it. Imagine this same feeling because of ping pong balls

You folks better pray the NFL never does that shit.

What are you talking about? They specifically do that to avoid late season tanking. The NFL should absolutely do it too.

Sounds like Riley Leonard going to Notre Dame. Would be good fill-in before CJ Carr is ready to take over.

In my opinion tanking is overblown. The Carolina Panthers are so genuinely terrible they couldn't win if they tried. Imagine being a fan of that team and picking 5th. I don't know, if I carry on any longer it would just be a vendetta so I'll bow out here

FSU still got screwed imo. Go Blue
