By who? I don't remember hearing anything about his vision until after he got the surgery.uscbucsfan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 11:22 am
Again, this was addressed when he was here. He was told to wait to get lasik while he was in Tampa. Most recommend people being over 25 years old, even though you CAN get it as young as 18.

Re: The Official 2021 Jameis Winston Thread
Another major detail @CannonFire and @kaimaru failed to mention is that LASIK recipients have to qualify. Your prescription must be stable and unchanged for 2 consecutive years. That's why they don't recommend the surgery for people under 25 as your eye sight is still changing and developing at that age. Most doctors won't even perform the surgery on people under 25. It's not something you can walk into an office and say "hey I want LASIK today please".uscbucsfan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 11:22 amThis being true doesn't make the post below any less of a bad take.CannonFire wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 11:09 am
Keep pretending. Winston wasn't very good here... he never was going to be good here. I'm glad he's gone. Time to move on. Good luck to him in the future.

So unless @CannonFire or @kaimaru have had access to Jameis Winston's optometrists records and prescriptions, they don't know when he became a candidate for LASIK. My guess is that both of them knew that, which is they they completely ignored me telling them they know nothing about LASIK and instead went for other aspects.

There are many threads on the old board discussing it. His vision was talked about the last 2 seasons here, pretty often.CannonFire wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 11:27 amBy who? I don't remember hearing anything about his vision until after he got the surgery.uscbucsfan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 11:22 am

Your narrative that he held out to fix his vision only when he became a free agent and make almost nothing is ridiculous and a bad take. There's a lot to hate on Winston on during his time here that we don't have to fabricate stuff.

I wasn't on the old board until a month or so before we moved here. I personally have never addressed his vision when talking about him, it was something that was new to me until he had the surgery. Any criticism I have of Winston, while in Tampa, has nothing to do with his vision.uscbucsfan wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 11:31 amThere are many threads on the old board discussing it. Just take the L here. It doesn't say anything bad about his character that he followed medical advise.

The fact that you equated his character to having a medical procedure that you have no idea when he became eligible for speaks for itself. Doesn't matter when you said it.CannonFire wrote: ↑Thu Oct 14, 2021 11:36 amDid I say any of that while he was in Tampa... or in New Orleans?
Now be a good little kiddo and go to your room until I tell you to come out.

Man it’s good to wake up in the morning without this clown as the QB of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Anything I said about Winston's play in Tampa, had nothing to do with his vision. I didn't even know he had a vision problem. When I said something about his vision being an issue it was after he was already no longer with the Bucs.
As for the character and eye surgery, they do go hand-in-hand because if someone chooses not to get something done that would help them and chose not to do it until after millions of dollars were invested in that person, that's a big red mark.
Now, I did not know they suggest that you not get the surgery until after the age of 25. As far as this being a red mark on his character, it does not exist for me. Still, he was a crappy QB and I'm glad he's gone.

Jameis Winston is the best redzone qb in the nfl and is a top 3 qb in dropback epa. Let ‘em loose Sean

Cool story, bro
Re: The Official 2021 Jameis Winston Thread
Yeah, but he still needs to be paired up with a top-tier kicker to be successful.

Well at least we know if Jameis has a sub-par performance against the Seahawks, it likely because Will wasn't fully recovered.BlackTrumpFan wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 11:36 pmwill lutz is coming back off of ir for the mnf againist the seahawks

if will makes his kicks like an all-pro kicker is supposed to from 45 yards or under.. and we lose i will personally blame winston if he is the reason they lose. But i dont see that happening. Will Lutz is the best kicker winston has had since his freshman year at fsuBucFanClw wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 7:36 amWell at least we know if Jameis has a sub-par performance against the Seahawks, it likely because Will wasn't fully recovered.BlackTrumpFan wrote: ↑Sat Oct 23, 2021 11:36 pm
