This is incredible.

Guarantee this fellow bought the book or wrote it

The dude who wrote it send Joebucsfan a tweet in Jameis' last season with us full of stats and graphs to show how Winston stacks up with Hall of Fame quarterbacks. As if they comparing Favre's first 4 seasons is comparable to the modern NFL.
I think it's fitting he'd go with Favre anyway, since Favre is probably the most overrated quarterback in NFL history. Stop me if this sounds familiar - rare arm talent, but he'll lose you way too many games by being a dumbass. And that was back when throwing 20 picks in a season was normal.

Back in the old Tampa 2 days, I used to look forward to Favre games. With pressure coming at him and him trying to compensate by going all sand lot, you just knew he was going to give us a pick or two.

Next year, he will realize his passion is playing the GAME of football. Then the year after that, he'll realize....

This is a process. It takes time.

This is just like the time I thought I liked, you know, the idea of pizza. But then I went on that diet and realized I actually like EATING pizza.

To think that if Jameis had been born a decade later, he could've signed a NIL deal with Publix and gotten all the crab legs he wanted as payment.

He was no Ike Hilliard.
3rd and Ike!

Ike was amazing. Slow as fuck, but a fucking Jedi mind trick.

3rd and long:
Ike: "I'm not the receiver you're looking for"
Stormtrooper Safety: "This is not the receiver we are looking for"

Ike was the goddamn platonic ideal of a Gruden receiver. Just a heady player who ran great routes and understood coverages and sight adjustments.

There's multiple sources that say the injury is not serious.

Five weeks is pretty serious. If this were the regular season, the Saints would be fucked.

I think the Saints will be fine without Winston 😂

He’ll be back for game 1 anyway

Jameis Winston’s foot injury appears to be minor

USA Today
Saints quarterback Jameis Winston left Monday’s practice early with a foot injury, but everything appears to be fine.

Winston feels good and the injury is “nothing to really worry about,” a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Winston will miss a few days of practice, and that he won’t play in the preseason opener against the Texans on Saturday.

It amazes me that you guys are spending such activity monitoring the life and times of our failed QB experiment. And don't give me that crap about him being in our division either. He could be in frigging Seattle and this thread would still be 22+ pages long. I'm in the same boat and can't understand my own failings in this regard. But then I'm an idiot that actually was hoping he'd eventually pull that ugly stach out of his ass, or at least clean the window in his stomach and pay attention. He's gone, and I'm pretty sure we don't hold any idea of bringing him back.

I'd venture to guess that if he didn't work out here and went on to be a "normal" human being, there wouldn't be a thread. However, this dude is the comedic material gift that keeps on giving. Capture a quote/video from him and it's like you just filmed your 14-year-old neighbor trying to bench press with shake weights, or the guy says something that he, and only he thinks is intelligent, but it actually isn't even a word.

Whenever I see this thread bumped, my mind never goes to, "Jameis must have done something impressive." I always assume he either did something stupid, or he got hurt, or he did something illegal, or he posted cringe, or he said something mind-boggling in a presser. And I'm batting 1.000 with said assumption.
