I hope it happens. That way we're not the stupid team to give him the big extension he wants

I hope we can get a 2nd for him. But unless a bidding war happens, we are probably looking at like a 3rd and a day 3 pick.BucsNBills wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 2:18 pm Holy fuck thank God!!! Licht better not fuck this up. Get some pics and move on.

They aren’t paying his blown coverage missed assignment ass!

Thank god they aren’t giving him whatever contract he’s asking for

Devin and Mike's (Evans) name are popping up on the draft sim.

We may be able to get a 2nd for him. Or better yet, trade our 2nd and him and move up to get another first rounder. Imagine if you're Licht and you know you need O-Line help. You stay put at 19 and draft one of the top LT's in the draft (Paris Johnson, Anton Harrison or Broderick Jones). Then later that night, you're in the late 20s, early 30s of the first round, and you see LG O'Cyrus Torrence available. Do you dangle White and your second rounder to grab him?Miller4Prez64 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 2:23 pmI hope we can get a 2nd for him. I just offered Mike Evans, 2024 2nd, 2024 3rd for Seattles 5th - they turned me down.

Please trade for 2024 draft capital.
Re: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official 2023 Off Season Thread
Offseason hooplah. At least we know he's smarter than Lamar. You hear this from every star talent in their final year, especially if they are first in line for the Franchise Tag. Unfortunately for White he has very little leverage in any direction. While I doubt they move him, you still have to listen to offers.
Re: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official 2023 Off Season Thread
There are a lot of other players who I would want to nab at the bottom of the first before Torrence.BuccaNOLEer wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 3:10 pmWe may be able to get a 2nd for him. If you doubt anyone will trade for him, why exactly should WE pay him?

For Seattle's 5th - I offered 2024 1st,2nd,3rd,4th,5th and Mike Evans and they turned me down..........
@Doctor Seems we are the one's with no leverage, as usual.

Like who? He's the best left guard in the draft. You get him and one of the big three OT's, your O-Line is instantly upgraded. And you can cut bait with Godeke.Doctor wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 3:22 pmThere are a lot of other players who I would want to nab at the bottom of the first before Torrence.BuccaNOLEer wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 3:10 pm

Well, if Devin White wants out, I wish him the best of luck.
As far as compensation we could expect, the Devin White situation's closest recent comp is Roquan Smith from Chicago to Baltimore. The Bears got a second and fifth round pick as well as a backup linebacker for trading Smith.
Imo that would be shitty value for White, but if that's all we can get I guess it's okay?

You’re actually gonna get less for White because he’s worse than Roquan.
Read the Reddit comments. Even other fans know he’s super overrated and is living off his SB run performance.

Licht will probably trade White for a third round pick and say he got the best of the deal. Meanwhile, White will go on and have several pro-Bowl seasons with his new team.

If White is making more Pro bowls, it’s because the voters are dumb and follow hype tbhGreatTimes wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 3:53 pm Licht will probably trade White for a third round pick and say he got the best of the deal. Re: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official 2023 Off Season Thread
A 2nd and 5th for a LB that’s primary job isn’t rushing the QB would be a huge steal for us tbh.
It wouldn’t surprise me if we have to settle for a 4th or something.

Re: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official 2023 Off Season Thread
I could see a change of scenery being good for White if he goes to the right situation (maybe NE?). But it’s been 4 seasons and he hasn’t evolved his game here, and I doubt it will change this season.Snake wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 3:59 pmIf White is making more Pro bowls, it’s because the voters are dumb and follow hype tbhGreatTimes wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 3:53 pm Licht will probably trade White for a third round pick and say he got the best of the deal. A 3rd seems about right for what we should expect back. Anything more would be gravy.

Just in: Bucs have no intention to trade White
.per Pelissero, the Bucs “don’t intend” to trade him

What type of a comp pick could you get if we lose him as a UFA next year?
