Ryan Jensen played every offensive snap last night. Dude is a beast and I hope we can somehow keep him around.

I bet it was surreal for him to come back to this team at this time. He must of felt like someone who woke up from a coma and couldn’t believe what was now real.
I said what I said
Re: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official 2023 Off Season Thread
He was probably saying to himself... "This offensive line sucks beyond repair. Even I can't help them enough to make a difference."
Don't tread on me

Re: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official 2023 Off Season Thread
Just to given an idea of some of the roster moves we're going to have to make to get in the black, here's what I did on OTC to get us to $9mil in the positive:
Cuts:
Donovan Smith
Shaq Mason
Russell Gage
Lenny
Brate
Succup
Trades:
Devin White for literally anything, saves us $11mil
Cap Manipulation:
Godwin's Base salary to prorate signing bonus.
Of course the above is not the only path to getting under the cap, but it's the one which requires the least amount of kicking the can.

IDK that anybody would argue with any of those moves (some won't be happy about White, but I'd rather not pay him 20M APY). I think he'd fetch at least a third if we decided to trade him this offseason. However, I don't think LVD returns, so we'd be looking at two new starting ILBs. Not ideal, but I don't aniticipate us being competitive next year anyway, so...heads will roll.BucsNBills wrote: ↑Tue Jan 17, 2023 1:23 pm Just to given an idea of some of the roster moves we're going to have to make to get in the black, here's what I did on OTC to get us to $9mil in the positive:

There's also the chance someone unexpected develops. It happens all of the time. On offense, Goedeke could come out next year looking competent. On defense someone like Britt or McCollum could make a big leap in play. I bring up McCollum because we're definitely not re-signing Dean and SMB, I don't think we're re-signing either.
Re: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official 2023 Off Season Thread
White is still here for another year. It makes no sense to make a hole just to have to fill it.
Cutting Gage also makes zero sense unless there's a wild injury settlement or something.

Devin White is a hole when he’s on the field. That’s the whole point.
Re: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official 2023 Off Season Thread
Out of position, missing tackles, liability in coverage.
Sure does blitz the a-gap well though.

DW leads this team is tackling but he's a liability and misses tackles.....Despite literally leading the team....
Says a lot about the other 9 players on this defense not named LVD.

The bill is coming due boys... 43,882,095 over next season.
A Impressive 52 million in dead cap for players not under contract.
but somehow clown Bowles does not think we are rebuilding next season.

David doesn't get enough respect around here. I watched that man make back to back tackles to force third down last night and people think he's getting old.King Bootz wrote: ↑Tue Jan 17, 2023 7:45 pm DW leads this team is tackling but he's a liability and misses tackles.....Despite literally leading the team....

I'd extend his deal 3 years right now.

Oh, yeah. I’d pay David right now for sure. I hope they do. Guarantee his career ends here. ROH bound._MB_ wrote: ↑Tue Jan 17, 2023 8:35 pmDavid doesn't get enough respect around here. He is just such a risk taker, but that also means he is consciously ignoring his assignment in the process. I don't know how you coach that mindset out of a guy.King Bootz wrote: ↑Tue Jan 17, 2023 7:45 pm DW leads this team is tackling but he's a liability and misses tackles.....Despite literally leading the team....
He grew up being used to being the best athlete on the field, so he always thinks he can just take over. That's what I see, anyway.

LVD seemed high on missed tackles this year too. No?

I'm thinking we were just really high on "bad football" this year.

Oh my God that would be amazing.
Good for you Byron. Get you that promotion.

Lol if that's the case then I'm glad we haven't fired him yet. We could really use those diversity picks right about now.
edit: Maybe we wait and let Leftwhich get hired for the "diversity" picks leading to us firing Bowles, then both of them can ride along with Arians fat ass in his golf cart all the way to AZ. I bet the Cardinals fans are going to love those predictable dive plays up the middle on 1st down!
Re: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Official 2023 Off Season Thread
You know, we laugh. But who's to say he wouldn't make a good HC? Just because he sucked as an OC does not mean he couldn't excel in the HC role if given the chance.

Well, if he's going to succeed as a HC, that's a given.

What kind of a response is this? How is it useful? What argument do you believe you're making?
"So let's get to the point
Let's roll another joint
And let's head on down the road
There's somewhere I got to go..."

It's not even an argument. An argument implies a point. It's just...saying something to say something. Is Bootz on a quota?

Sitting here...Minding my own business....And people wanna poke the tiger then get mad when the tiger bites back. Wash, rinse, repeat.
I wish I wasn't such a triggering force for this place. Maybe then people would leave me the hell alone.
