Not trying to take anything away from the rest of your post, but Dad was quoting Marx here and I love that.

Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
Jay glazer saying GB offered a first rounder for Moore in 2022. If you think about it that way:
CHI gives up 1 overall
CAR gives up three 1s (two real ones and DJ Moore) and two 2s. I’d say the bears won that trade (on its face) in a landslide.
This also means, IMO, that CHI will stick with Fields, which is a terrible decision.
Edit: quick, name a plus skill position player on CAR…

Panthers will have $156m in cap space entering 2024
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
Panthers fans seem to want Stroud, most.
Some are concerned about how poorly he’s performed under pocket pressure. Like, dead last in CFB bad.

Over the last 4 years, Moore ranks 7th in total receiving yards…and that was with guys like Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, and PJ Walker throwing him the ball. That’s why I say it’s like another #1 pick added on for the Bears.
By the way, who is Carolinas #1 WR right now? Laviska Shenault? Yikes.

Look like the Jets/Packers agreed on Aaron Rodgers trade
They’re waiting on Aaron Rodgers decision

Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
RIP Bud Grant!!
The Vikings announced that legendary Minnesota head coach and Hall of Famer Bud Grant passed away this morning at age 95. “We, like all Vikings and NFL fans, are shocked and saddened by this terrible news,” the team said in a statement.
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
Shocked?? Really? He was 95...
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
Probably not for long. Without a ton of cap outlay, they could easily add (for discussion) Bryce Young, Kareem Hunt, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and, say, Jalin Hyatt. Not saying a group like that would be a murderer's row, but it's probably good enough.Navybuc wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 10:43 amOver the last 4 years, Moore ranks 7th in total receiving yards…and that was with guys like Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, and PJ Walker throwing him the ball. Sources: The #Rams are deep in talks on a trade to send superstar CB Jalen Ramsey to the #Dolphins. It’s on the verge of happening.
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
Damn it the Lions missed out.
Breaking: Jalen Ramsey is being traded to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a 2023 third-round pick and TE Hunter Long, sources told Adam Schefter.
Trade will be processed Wednesday, when league year begins.
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
That was cheap.
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
They’re probably grabbing one at #6, so better cap wise to bring in a rookie.
Ramsey and Howard at CB will be a great tandem to watch.
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
The Rams should have talked to some of the capologists around here. Don't they know you can just something something restructure something something Saints and then the cap doesn't matter anymore?

Sources: The #Patriots are trading TE Jonnu Smith to the #Falcons, as a former big-ticket free agent heads elsewhere and creates space for New England. Meanwhile, he lands with Arthur Smith, who turned him into a star.
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
Austin Ekeler is requesting permission to speak with other teams about a potential trade after preliminary talks with the Los Angeles Chargers aimed at a contract extension did not progress, his agent told Adam Schefter.
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
TJ Edwards sets a low bar for LB out of the gate. Maybe we can bring back LVD.

At the moment, Raiders targeting Jimmy GSources: Former Las Vegas Raiders QB Jarrett Stidham is signing a 2-year, $10M deal with the Broncos, choosing to play for Sean Payton over other options. The deal, which includes $5M guaranteed and $4M more in upside, reunites him Davis Webb – who he has known since he was a teenager.
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
Great signing!! Kinlaw has been trash thus far.
Most hated man in America.
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread

Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
Do Packers pursue Lamar now?
Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
Doubtful. They are high on Jordan Love. Plus I don't think this trade saves them much money. They take on a very large dead cap hit.

Re: The Official 2023 NFL Off-Season Thread
Jets have to be paying a fat premium.
This isn’t 2011 Rodgers, but he can still play. Plus the dead cap hit.

Gotta love you guys. No one creates offseason drama quite like IABL members.
Don't tread on me
