Teams that make the playoffs, no matter their record, fall behind teams that did not make the playoffs. 1-18 is set in stone. That formula continues throughout the various rounds of the playoffs (Wildcard losses, divisional round losers, conferences championship losers).
Re: 2023 Playoffs General Discussion
So since we are the last game in the wild card round if we lost we'd pick 23rd.King Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 6:24 pmTeams that make the playoffs, no matter their record, fall behind teams that did not make the playoffs. 1-18 is set in stone. Seems as though the NFL is helping teams by the way they do the scheduling.

Wife is due to give birth Monday so this could get interesting.

I think you should name the child after the best player of the game if we win.real bucs fan wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 6:56 pm Wife is due to give birth Monday so this could get interesting.

My first daughter was born on a Thursday when the Buccaneers were playing Thursday night. It was a fantastic father daughter bonding moment when we watched the game together as mom slept.real bucs fan wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 6:56 pm Wife is due to give birth Monday so this could get interesting.

My first daughter was born an hour before kickoff. Mike Alstott had his career best game at home against the Vikings that day, but Mom, Dad, and baby were asleep by the second half.13F11B wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 8:01 amMy first daughter was born on a Thursday when the Buccaneers were playing Thursday night. The day my son was born we watched a Devil Rays game. He's asleep in my arms while I explained how Aubrey Huff was behind in the pitch count.

Sadly this WC weekend not prolly as anticipating as others. Next week should be better. But Ravens and Miami missing their starting qbs pretty much takes away any chance of them winning. Seattle prolly gonna get steamrolled by SF. Best games def gonna be Jax-LAC and NYG-Min. And then there’s our MNF game. But crossing fingers Tua and Lamar can go because without them, those games could be over by halftime.

It doesn't sound like either of them will be able to go. Tua probably shouldn't anyway.Navybuc wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 10:45 am Sadly this WC weekend not prolly as anticipating as others. Re: 2023 Playoffs General Discussion
Sounds like it could be a downpour in San Fran Saturday. And the kickoff temp in Jacksonville could be about as cold as the one in Buffalo (depending on which forecast you believe)….odd. Forecast I saw this morning said 34 in Buffalo and 38 in Jax.

Re: 2023 Playoffs General Discussion
Lamar Jackson has zero reason to put his health at risk for a team that would rather commit to an off ball LB that's been with the team for half a season than their franchise QB.
Even if Jackson is healthy enough to play he shouldn't.

Re: 2023 Playoffs General Discussion
Tua ruled out. Well, Buffalo wanted a bye. They’re getting as close to a bye as you can get this weekend going up against Skyler Thompson. Not sure what ML is but I’m unloading my life savings on it.

I know SF should win and, most likely, will win. But surprising things tend to happen when division rivals play each other and the 9ers shouldn't sleep on the Seahawks.Navybuc wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 10:45 am Sadly this WC weekend not prolly as anticipating as others. As for our game, I absolutely hate that it's on MNF.
1) This team doesn't deserve another primetime game and, even more importantly...
2) My old ass will never make it to the end of the game and still get up at 6 AM the next morning for work.

So don't work on Tuesday. This isn't difficult.
Re: 2023 Playoffs General Discussion
You sure that isn't the first half line (/blue). Seriously, that's begging for Bills money.

Re: 2023 Playoffs General Discussion
I mean this should be a slaughter by the Bills. Like 30+ margin of victory.
Only thing that will stop that is if JA goes completely berserk with stupid turnovers that he's sadly been known for this year.

Re: 2023 Playoffs General Discussion
Will Vander Esch and Biadasz miss the game for the Cowboys?
Re: 2023 Playoffs General Discussion
I feel bad for Dolphin fans. This will only be their 3rd playoff appearance since the Bucs won their first SB and they have to go with some scrub backup QB. Whether it's Bridgewater or Thompson, the results will should be about the same.
