Prayers up for Damar Hamlin

Post by King Bootz »

Regular season games not featuring the Bucs RARELY deserve their own thread. However this one is an exception. Schedule. makers got this one right. A very late season matchup featuring 2 of the best teams in the league with 2 of the premier QBs in the league today on Monday Night Football. Both Josh Allen and Joe Burrow have a solid case for being the 2nd best QB in football today. 1 of these 2 teams will be in the AFC Championship Game. Who ya got?

Prayers for Damar Hamlin

Two very good teams helmed by great QBs.

I’d give a slight edge to the Bills, because of Bengals weak O line and their own stout defense.

Joey B can and will hang in there to get the ball out though, and I think the Cincy skill positions even things out.

Should be a hell of a game.

This should be the AFCCG this year. Hopefully it works out that way. Two great teams with the two best QBs in the game.

Sucks Von Miller got hurt. Not sure if the Bills defense has enough teeth without him. Guess we'll see!

I love how basically every game matters this week for seeding. Should be an exciting weekend of football.

Edit: Forgot, go Bills! I don't want Andy Reid having the #1 seed and an easy route to the SB. He and his scheme don't need any help.

Von Miller's absence is going to hurt the Bills come playoff time. Honestly, it's hurting them already. That defense simply is not the beast it was early in the year.

Both teams riding long winning streaks, but Bengals just seem hotter to me.

There's a lot at stake tonight for both teams.

If Buffalo wins, they keep their lead for the #1 seed going into the final week. If they lose, they drop to 3rd, but they could get back to #1 or #2 with some help next week.

If Cincinnati wins, they win the AFC North and move up to #2 seed. They'll have a chance at #1 if they can beat the Ravens next week and if the Chiefs lose to the Raiders. If the Bengals lose, 3rd is as high as they can go but they would be in danger of falling to 5th if they also lose to the Ravens next week, who already beat them.

Bengals won the toss and elected to receive. Don't see that too often.

Of the top 3 AFC teams, the Bills are by far the most reliant on QB play. Allen has to be great and carry much more so than Burrow or whoever is running Reid's scheme.

The Bills seem to lose an important defensive player like every game.

Bills dropping like flies.

Sadly I think the only way Buffalo makes a deep run is for Allen to just go god mode and carry the whole team.

Because he's not going to get help from the defense.

I've never seen that before on the football field.

That's the kind of thing you see once in awhile in boxing matches where a boxer ends up dying.

That's bad.

He got up and his brain just shut down.

That reminded me of some of the semi-recent soccer collapses in that there was no apparent head injury.

There's a very good chance we just watched someone die in the field.

They've been doing CPR for over 10 minutes now.

This is the nightmare scenario the league has been fearing for years now.

It also kind of looked like some of the guys who have had heart attacks playing soccer. Just dropping out of nowhere.

They would have to. How can you expect the players to go back out and play after that?

Could be. The Bengals player landed on his chest I believe so I wonder if done damage you the heart or arteries could've happened.

God damn I never thought I'd see this happen on live TV.

They probably should and if word comes out that he died the league will be destroyed for continuing this game.

Apparently they're going to continue, I can't believe it. How the hell are these guys going to focus on playing?
