Considering I wouldn't touch Dijon (or Bijon for that matter) in the first, I'd definitely take Carter if he fell to us.

He's got speed for days....

Yep. That's why we just saw the 16th ranked defense win a championship....

The whole "defense wins championships" argument is over rated.... You have to score and have some sort of competent defense to win championships these days

This coming from a guy that still loves to see older style smash mouth defenses

If the Panther draft Richardson

Do you think the Bucs move up to 2 to get Stroud or Young?

Agree.

And frankly, I can't see it for a bunch of reasons.

If we move, I'd put heavy money on moving BACK and trying to find more competent bodies going forward over moving up for any one specific talent.

We have eight picks. We could parlay that into a dozen.

Houston isn't dropping all the way to 19. Not a chance.

It ain't happening and I only need 1 reason: Houston isn't dropping back at all. Let alone to 19. They are taking 1 of the 3 top QBs Carolina does not.

Yep.

1 and 2 will be quarterbacks, period.

It's entirely possible Arizona drops back from #3, though. Personally, I wouldn't unless the offer is outstanding. Will Anderson is the best 3-4 Edge Rusher since Von Miller - maybe even better. The Cardinals have literally never had a guy like that on their front seven since sacks became an official stat. He's exactly what the team needs. They couldn't go into a lab and grow a more perfect prospect to take with that pick.

So yeah, if someone goes full RGIII and offers than 3 firsts and a second and they stay in the top ten, maybe. But they should absolutely not be looking to move out because they can.

The ghost of JJ Watt is still insanely good as well.

I was thinking in terms of a 3-4 two point rusher, but I get your point.

Surprisingly, Simeon Rice left Arizona with "only" 51.5 sacks. I would be fairly confident that a healthy Will Anderson would beat that number over his first four years. Perhaps even his first three. He's that gifted.

Simeon was also the 3rd pick. Man, he deserves a lot more credit for his years here. Dude was awesome.

4.79 forty with 361/4 in arms.

Those measures would be Zach Harrison.

With Dean coming back I think CB gets moved down a peg as far as pressing needs. Doesn’t change much but gotta think OL/Edge are primary positions for us to target early. We also need a safety to pair with Winfield.

I can see us adding CB late for depth to compete with Zyon McCullom who hopefully takes a step forward in year 2.

Looking at the Bucs roster… gotta think OL is priority at the moment. Our OL fucked us last year and we’ve lost players so could definitely use an upgrade. Also we only have 1 starting calibre tackle at the moment. Seems like pick 19 would be a good spot to land one as well.

Caliber and calibre are both English terms. Caliber is predominantly used in 🇺🇸 American (US) English ( en-US ) while calibre is predominantly used in 🇬🇧 British English (used in UK/AU/NZ) ( en-GB ). In the United States, there is a preference for "caliber" over "calibre" (87 to 13).

In Canada we use the British spelling.

Speaking of which, there’s a Quebecois OL in this draft named Bergeron who could be the best run blocker in the whole draft. Would be a nice Day 2 guy IMO.

Yes, I've eyeballed Mathew and Blake Freeland. It may be long shots after them.

It's an interesting theory, but I've never bought that any player who knowingly cost himself tens of millions on his rookie deal so some specific team could pick him. Especially knowing how scummy teams are about these things (ask Jon Gruden.)

I think the stress of the auto death and the legal fallout has knocked him off his stride. I'd definitely see if he gives a "make up" personal pro day leading up to the draft before I'd count him out.

I think Licht will be lasered in on Oline in the first round. That's where my money is for our pick, unless someone ends up plummeting down the board.

Any chance one of these TEs could be BPA at 19? I haven't scouted them too much.
