You could make a pretty competitive squad just with transfer players this season.

Just for measurement .. as of 8 AM 12/6

912 in
25 Committed

I've never watched it this closely, so no idea how it compares in years past.

I looked at the team rankings .. Alabama has 16 heading OUT

At least Michigan can recruit on the transfer portal if nowhere else.

DJ Uoogaboogajajaoa from Clemson ends up at Oregon State.

Oregon State is on the come up, but man, that’s regression.

Sam Hartman reportedly transferring to Notre Dame. Huge upgrade for the Irish if true as it finally gives them a quarterback…something they haven’t had since Brady Quinn. ND also has 5-star prospect CJ Carr coming in 2024 so it appears as if ND is turning their biggest weakness of poor qb play into a strength. Herbstreit said earlier that if Hartman does indeed go to ND, the Irish become a serious National title contender in 2023.

I find this interesting. I believe there were reports about the severity of Ed Reed’s CTE. Getting lost driving, stuff like that.

maybe it was bullshit. Maybe he’s feeling better. Or just maybe, you don’t have to do anything as a modern CFB head coach. Figureheads abound.

I don't think you can "feel better" from CTE. It is permanent damage. I think your second point is more likely. Hire a figurehead with a name to recruit, then allow coordinators to actually run stuff.

But yeah, odd at best.

Sam Hartman officially to ND.

And just like that, the Irish odds to win the NC next year just went from 35-1 to 12-1 with that one move.
