2021 NFL Season
Re: 2021 NFL Season
The Packers released LB Jaylon Smith. That's twice in a month Jaylon Smith has been released from an NFL team.
For all the pff peeps out there, where does Jaylon Smith rank for off ball LB's? I bet it's way higher than Devin White even though Smith has been terrible due to his physical limitations.
Jaylon is a sad story, dude was an amazing athlete and likely top 5 pick for an off ball LB in college at Notre Dame before his fluke injury. He seems like a great kid so I'm sure he'll be ok, but man. Talk about feeling cheated, the sky was the limit for him as a LB.

Re: 2021 NFL Season
Trade deadline has come and gone with minimal action. The only notable deal today was the Steelers trading Melvin Ingram to the Chiefs for a 6th round pick.
Re: 2021 NFL Season
Jaylon Smith is not ranked. Guess he didn't play enough. His PFF grade was 62.1.Dread wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 3:22 pm The Packers released LB Jaylon Smith. That's twice in a month Jaylon Smith has been released from an NFL team.

Devin White has a grade of 35.7 and is ranked 72nd.

Hopefully Henry gets back to full health, has another couple of good seasons, and then steps away from the game while he's still on top.King Bootz wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 1:57 pm
Good news on Henry. He got a prognosis of 6-10 weeks. So he'd be back around the end of December at the earliest, latest around the divisional round if Tennessee makes it that far. He won't get to 2k this year but man he's been amazing and so fun to watch.
Considering he is in his 60s, he doesn't look wheelchair bound to me.

I’d consider myself lucky to have a bulge and drink out of a red solo cup in my 60’s… and my only Vice is corporate America
Re: 2021 NFL Season
We gonna talk about how TJ Watt is on pace to break the NFL single-season sack record...even though Watt "only" play in 16 games (if he plays in all remaining games) this season?

Re: 2021 NFL Season
I'm willing to bet Payton deals him. Thomas has gone about this the exact wrong way. Putting the surgery off until late in the summer and not being transparent with the team about his status.
Ultimately the egg will be on his face. Sean Payton has never had a problem finding and developing talent. He no doubt is going to a place like Miami or WFT.

Sucks that the penalty for jaywalking is worse than the penalty for drunk driving and killing someone.Nano wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 2:48 pmFrom what Reddit says, the main difference between these cases is that the pedestrian that Stallworth hit was crossing the road illegally. This is a much more straightforward case and has a minimum jail time of 2 years.King Bootz wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 2:25 pm That's just awful. Donte Stallworth comes to mind. Hopefully Ruggs gets hit with more punishment than Stallworth did. All he got for his DUI Manslaughter was 24 days in jail, 1000 hours of community service, 8 years probation and he can no longer drive in FL. Goodell only suspended him for a year.
Crazy thing to me is this happened in Vegas. Vegas aint that big that you have to drink and drive to wherever you're going. Rideshare is EVERYWHERE.
Re: 2021 NFL Season
I know I'm nitpicking, but if you do the math, Garrett is not on pace.
Myles - 10.5 sacks in 8 games = 1.3125 sacks/game*17= 22.3125
TJ Watt - 8.5 sacks in 6 games = 1.4167 sacks/game*16= 22.667

Re: 2021 NFL Season
Watt isn't either technically as he'd never catch up with Garrett since they have the same number of games left. The "record" wouldn't be real.

It's not in the shot, but it's most certainly in the room.kaimaru wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 8:22 pmCantonJester wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 5:06 pm

I read this past weekend that for any type of distance, he uses a wheelchair. Good piece on Earl's condition.

Re: 2021 NFL Season
Seems Baker Mayfield married Miko Grimes.
Re: 2021 NFL Season
I love me some Miko...on 31 other teams.

Re: 2021 NFL Season
I haven't watched him a lot this year, but I heard somewhere he's had a ton of drops and sloppy/lazy routes this year.King Bootz wrote: ↑Thu Nov 04, 2021 4:11 pmThey need a contingency to Thomas being out. You can certainly do a lot worse than OBJ
Maybe frustration. Baker isn't good.
Re: 2021 NFL Season
Scotty has turf toe and essentially hasn't played at all this year. Unknown status
AB is still wearing a boot and BA didn't sound very optimistic. Unknown status.
Defense is terrible and can't be relied on to top 3rd string QBs, let alone Stafford or Murray.
Competition just got better defensively.
OBJ likely available soon.
Hmm.
Mook NPC's on this board will immediately go full lizard brain and fail to see the forest for the trees.
Interesting.

Defense is terrible and can't be relied on to top 3rd string QBs, let alone Stafford or Murray. Stafford is an MVP caliber qb this season and we don't even play Murray (anotehr MVP caliber QB). We're quite literally middle of the pack defense (and getting better and healthier)
Competition just got better defensively. How so?
OBJ likely available soon. You mean the OBJ that since the beginning of the 2020 season has a total of 40/551/3? That OBJ...watch out world!
Hmm.

Re: 2021 NFL Season
We're gonna need a more formal vote on this. Objective Truths is a strong one as well.
Re: 2021 NFL Season
But Chicken Little is so much more accurate.
