Do not want. We have a second round pick who is quite literally the cheapest option and we do not now if he's Tom Brady or Uncle Rico. Give Trask the ball in 2023 and see how it goes.

What are we achieving with Wentz as our starter that Trask may not be able to offer for less than 10% of the (I'm guessing) cost?

Dude is a shell of himself. He redlined his body and hasn’t been the same since some injuries.

Guess we don't get to trade Brate after all.

He aught to retire. He's had a great career.

32 year old TE with concussion issues and limited talent don't have trade value.

I never suggested that he be traded.

Your assessment of Brate's career has too much salt in it.

It's an observation. He had concussion issues last seasons. Had to be taken off on a stretcher in Pittsburgh. You disagree with a fact? Be my guest.

He's an undrafted Ivy League player. We've had him for 9 years and used a 1st round pick and traded for one of the greatest TEs in football while he was here. Brate had a good career but God given talent wise he's limited. We've also made him take a pay cut for 3 straight seasons to stay here. Again, you disagree? Be my guest.

He's also one touchdown away from tying Jimmy Giles for second most TD catches in franchise history.

He played 126 games as a Buc. He's not just some fuckin guy.

Talk about a war of attrition.

That number you're puffing your chest about is 34. Brate has 33 TDs in 9 years, average of less than 4/year.

He played here a long time. Credit to him. But he's not a HOFer. Not a top 20 TE. Probably not even top 50 TE all time. He made money, won a ring. But he's easily replaceable.

You think he's more? That's your opinion.

Never said he was a hof guy. I didn't even say he was a roh guy.

He's a good player who played good football here for a long time and while that may mean nothing to you, it's at the very least worth a moment of reflection and appreciation from those of us who aren't 49ers fans.

Boy talk about projecting and assuming. Get out of your feelings. I didn't say anything of the such. I said he had concussion issues(he did) and was limited in the talent depth (he is) and you turned it into something else. Grow up. Move on. The Bucs have.

Where was the leap to a HOFer/top 20 guy made? You really make some incredible jumps in your responses.

Brate was a useful part and for quite a while. You want to diminish that for some unclear reason go ahead. It's what you do.

Which QB's that could even possibly be on the move haven't had a story written that they were coming to Tampa?

I mean Wentz is about what you'd ask for in a second string vet competition. Still think lock is a lock.

I have no problem bringing Wentz here if he's cheap enough. Some of y'all are still pretending we might good. Wentz, Dalton, Flacco, Lock - who gives a shit? We're going to bring in a veteran to push Trask. That's a given. Somebody will win the competition. Odds are extremely high both will see snaps over the course of a 17 game season. Then at the end of the year, the veteran almost certainly leaves and Trask either a) builds on this year or b) returns to the shadows.

Let's roll another joint
And let's head on down the road
There's somewhere I got to go..."
