But in a 2014 preseason game there he was making plays for us. He managed an eight year career after not making our team.
I saw his retirement listed as "Buccaneers News" and I was very confused. I had absolutely no memory of him even in camp here. Of course, it was 2014, probably the most ridiculous and grotesque season we've had over the last 20 years, and it was only preseason. I seriously remember like 3 plays from the 2014 season - the Glennon winning throw against the Steelers...Louis Murphy going off, I think against the Lions...and...okay, two plays, kind of. That whole, "we're not going to try and develop Glennon, even though he gives us the best chance to win anyway" storyline made me want to puke.

Bounced around and played for 6 teams - 42 starts and 41 PD's - ironically in Buc history only 17 players had more PD's than him. He is tied with Mr wonderful - Brent Grimes.

Soon
I heard Murphy-Bunting reported at 473 pounds. His press is strong, but receivers are burning him deep.

Well Logan Ryan is ready.

Wish they'd give Trask 15 minutes with the first stringers and let the newbs catch some from Tom.

The fact that they don't give Trask real developmental reps is infuriating because the minute Tom retires, this is Trask's team, if for no other reason than he's on his rookie deal and we couldn't afford anyone sexier when Brady leaves the building. Giving Tom a veteran day off and letting Trask at least split #1 reps with Gabbert would be to everyone's benefit, imo.

This is the Arians way, and it appears to be TB's way too. Unless a pup comes in and CLAIMS reps/starts, like Wirfs or Winfield, they're eased in very slowly.

I'm kind of dealing with this with my kid. He's a Soph and he's vying for varsity, but he's behind two Seniors and he's lucky to get a single rep on every play practiced. I get it, you want your likely players ready to play. At the same time, he's going to enter Junior Year as the presumptive starter and barring injury this year, he's going to face a much steeper learning curve than necessary.

Guess Greg didn't clear this with @Snake or @Dread. Godwin is running at full speed and ready for TC.

But at least we see Lenny working. Snake has yet to provide these videos of Godwin running at full speed 7 months after ACL surgery.

244 is Alstott after a couple practices and a few healthy shits. Gotta look for those small victories eh? Personally, I don't care what Lenny weighs as long as his body can handle it. But if he gets hurt it's gonna be really disappointing. The way you take care of yourself off the field is frequently reflected on it. I might be hamming it up but I genuinely don't want to see him get hurt, nor it hurt the Bucs. But I don't like it when RB's play at that size. It feels dangerous.

As for Godwin, if my man was running full blast 7 months in an NFL training camp after ACL surgery at training camp, someone would lose their job. Either Godwin for not following directions or the doctors for such bad advice. It's one thing to be comfortable taking stairs and crushing the rehab exercises at the doctor's office after 7 months and it's another to do an NFL training camp. Like, you can still be WAY ahead of schedule at that time.

I think it's just hard to not be excited for the guy but I personally hold my breath every time someone gets an ACL injury. Visions of Cadillac Williams still haunt me to this day

You seem to be mistaken. You said no one on IABL has claimed Godwin would be ready for TC before any official reports here. (it's a link)

I found a post of a poster claiming Godwin was running full speed and posted that quote here (it's a link). That post was made nearly 2 months ago. Showing that someone indeed made that claim. Or close to it.

And now you're attributing that claim, to me?

Go mop up the floor of the rehab clinic because your obfuscating has no power here.

Glass half full, it's day 2 of TC. Early enough that he'll be ready for Week 1.

Reality: Absolutely worst case scenario with him having 2 new guards flanking him on both sides. Cuts into the time they have to work on the small together on the small things like communication and tendencies.

That’s unfortunate about Jensen, hopefully it’s not a tear and he’ll be ready to go when the season starts.

In the meantime this gives Hainsey an opportunity to show out, let’s hope he makes the most of it.

Hopefully that red shirt year did him some good. It's not like we picked him up off the street from a D3 school after the draft. We used a 3rd round pick on him for exactly these type of situations.

Video of Jensen injury:

Looks like a d-lineman (Hall maybe?) gets pushed into him by Stinnie. I think Brady's reaction says it all.

Good thing is that it's a contact injury so less likely to be an ACL tear according to Dr. Chao on twitter:

But we all know Godwin's was an ACL injury with contact...

Remember ME13's injury in the last game of the regular season where we thought he tore something....and he turned out to be perfectly fine? I'm going to hold my breath on this one, just like that time.
