You're going way back now.... I remember the story.. vaguely but neither name.
I'll give it the day and if no one answers, we can gather round the fire and listen to absolute peak Yucks. The only harder Yuck was drafting Bo Jackson anyway after saying he wouldn't play for us
Booker Reese but no idea who the other guy was. Think it was an O-Lineman though

Undersized, but I'm quick as a spell.
Crushed my school's college records real well.

Gotta be the original Jalaen Darden - Dexter Jackson.

If the third draft day is your peak,

Deshazor Everett? Except he wasn't drafted.

The only other car wreck guy I can think of is JPP but he was a first-rounder for the Giants. Definitely not Day 3. So not him.

I think this players car wreck was either in his senior year in high school or his freshman year in college. Messed his face up.

Nope, not Dexter Jackson.

For a hint, look at the rhyming scheme of the limerick. The answer fits into it.

Culverhouse offered to send his private jet to pick him up and bring Bo to see the facilities. Bo asked if it would affect his college eligibility. Culverhouse said no. Whether he lied to Bo, or he just didn't care to find out, he was the reason we were the Yucks.

Limericks use an AABBA rhyming scheme, meaning the first, second, and fifth lines rhyme and usually have the same number of syllables. The third and fourth verse rhyme as well, and are shorter than the other lines.

I'm a West Coast guy who didn't really do much here in Tampa (or in the NFL for that matter). My biggest claim to fame is that Snoop Dogg was my Pop Warner coach. When I got cut from Tampa after my rookie training camp, rather than sign on to their PS, I signed to the PS with a team on the West Coast. Who am I?

I was an extremely talented TE, but unfortunately, I was also a scumbag who preferred hitting the bottle as opposed to hitting opposing LBs after catching the ball. As a result, I flamed out in Tampa, and flamed out of the league shortly after. To this day, I still can't stop hitting the bottle.... or hitting women for that matter. And I'm still getting in trouble with the law. Who am I?
